Prayer request for my son

How terribly frightening! I am so glad you posted it here. I didn’t see it in the prayer thread. I will certainly pray for him and for your family.
 
Mary Gail I am so sorry! I am definitely going to be praying for your son!

I cannot imagine how scary this must have been for all! Many prayers! May the Virgin Mary hold him under her mantle and be with him during a smooth recovery. May she help you, his mother, in these difficult days.

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me.

St. Gerard, who, like the Saviour, loved children so tenderly and by your prayers freed many from disease and even death, listen to us who are pleading for our sick child. We thank God for the great gift of our son/daughter and ask Him to restore our child to health if such be His holy will. This favour, we beg of you through your love for all children and mothers.

Prayer for a Miracle

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal Mary Gail’s Son). You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into Mary Gail’s Son’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen
 
Bumping the thread…

My son will be having a procedure on Monday to test if there are anymore veins that could be problematic . I’m very worried.

He also seems to have suffered from some hearing loss. It seemed that he had an ear infection, but his ears are clear, but he doesn’t hear well. Please pray the audiologist can determine and fix the cause.

It’s been a very hard time for him and for our family. We are separated due to the distance between our home and the hospital. I’m with my son during the week, and my husband and I switch places on the weekend.

We are incredibly grateful that he survived this. I won’t ever be able to understand how it happened in such a way that favored him getting immediate medical attention. On my own, I would never had realized how serious the scenario was. It could have been fatal had more time passed.

He had 3 human heroes that day, the ER doctor, the Neurosurgeon, and the priest who was able to get there quickly to give my son the sacraments.

Mary Gail, I prayed for your son today at Mass and will be praying for him tomorrow.
God gave you those 3 human heroes and He will continue to give you everything you need, even though we may not understand everything. Lean on Him!
May your son be under the Virgin Mary’s mantle tomorrow and always.

Thank you for the prayers. His tests went very well! No evidence of any more malformed veins.

He still faces a long recovery, so please keep him in your prayers.
