Praying tonight for your son’s recovery MaryGail. May The Lord bless you and keep you all safe and healthy.

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of death. Amen.

Praying for your son’s quick recovery and thanks for his improvement.

Thank you for your prayers.

It’s been such an extremely hard time for our family, for me to have to be separated from my husband and other children.

My son has had a terribly hard week. He has a feeding tube, and this week for some reason his feeds have not gone well, its hard to keep them down and he’s been vomiting multiple times daily.

They can’t figure out why.

He also saw an audiologist. His hearing loss is not due to fluid or infection. Hopefully his neurosurgeon will be able to address the hearing loss.

Could I also ask for some personal prayers?:o It’s been such a hard time and I’m having a hard time remaining strong, and not being distracted from prayer.

Thank you.

Praying for your son, for your family and also for you. I’m sorry for what your dealing with.

((Hugs)) and prayers, Mary Gail. I hope they can figure out what’s going on soon!

Praying for your whole family!

Prayers for the medical team taking care of your son, that they may be guided to help him have a smooth recovery.

Prayers for you, that you may feel God’s strength holding you, and that the Virgin Mary may help comfort you.

Prayers for your son, that the Virgin may hold him under Her mantle and may keep him safe and comforted as his body heals.

Just bumping the thread. Thank you to those who’ve prayed for my son.

Please continue to keep him in your prayers.

Thank you again.

Bumping the thread again.

Today’s been a particularly emotional day for him, lots of weeping and frustration.

😦

I sincerely appreciate the prayers.

I’m sorry he had a rough day! I have been praying for him. I just had some of my kiddos join me for extra prayers for him!

Updating.

Thank you for keeping my son in your prayers.

The nausea is better. One of his meds was switched to one with fewer side effects.

Hopefully he is closer to going home.

It’s been so surreal, I could never have imagined something like this happening.

Lord God, i lift up to Your loving care and mercy this beloved son as he undergoes recovery and rehabilitation. Please bless him with strength. Imbue his doctors and nurses and caregivers with Your divine healing power so that they may be Your instruments of healing for this son. Bless his mother with the graces she needs. Grant her strength, peace, comfort, and an abiding trust in You. Surround her with family, friends, and colleagues who can be a source of strength, comfort, and support. Bless their family with loving kindness for one another. May they all patiently deal with one another on this long road of recovery . All these I ask in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Continuing to pray for you, your family, and especially for your son.

Still thinking of you and praying for your son and your entire family!
I hope the newer medication is working well. I will continue to pray for a smooth recovery.

Thank you for keeping him in your prayers.

We saw a specialist regarding his hearing loss. His aneurysm was located very close to his hearing nerve, so it could be that the loss is permanent. He doesn’t recommend any surgery to address it. Cochlear implants are not approved for unilateral hearing loss, and they would preclude him from ever getting an MRI.

A hearing aid might work, but the loss could be due to not being able to process the sounds not necessarily not hearing them.

He seem to be dealing well with that emotionally.

I could probably do better, and at the same time I feel somewhat guilty.

His condition could have been so much worse. One of the neurosurgeons who studied the image of the first CAT scan was very frank. If the only information he had to go with was the CAT scan, he would have thought it was incompatible with any meaningful form of recovery, the hemorrhage was very large, and was putting extreme pressure on all parts of his brain, and specifically the brain stem. It’s as if the laws of biology were miraculously suspended. His brain injury is limited to one spot, and he is young enough that he can compensate for most of the loss with continued therapy.

Thank you again for reading and for your prayers and for your kind words.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Prayer for a Miracle

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal Mary Gail’s Son). You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into Mary Gail’s Son’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

I thought of you guys over the holiday. Your story about the neurosurgeon’s take on his CAT image is amazing! God is and will be with you throughout all of this.
Praying for your son and your whole family!

Hello, I just wanted to give an update.

My son is home! He came home a few days before Christmas.

He is doing very well. No more feeding tube, he is eating on his own. He can walk with no assistance.

He still will require therapy for a period of time, he still get’s fatigued very easily. But we are so happy.

Thank you all to have prayed for my son and family.

Merry Christmas!
