**Please pray for my husband and me. We meet with our Priest today to turn in our annulment petitions for our prior marriages. We have been married for almost four years now and it has weighed heavily on my heart that neither one of us had our prior marriages annulled first.
I have been in prayer for the entire duration of our marriage that God would fall upon his heart and lead him back to the Church and give him the desire and strength to go through this long but necessary process. Several months ago, my prayers were answered and he agreed to meet with our Priest and discuss his prior marriage, his desire for an annulment and the issues that he had with the Church.
It came to light that the Priest that married him and his first wife really condemned him when he went to him for help after finding out his wife had know she was gay for the biggest part of her life (several years prior to their marriage) and was involved in a homosexual relationship with another woman. She had asked for a divorce and told him she didn’t love him anymore and was not going to put her life on hold for him or the kids either. He was devastated and sought help and was made to feel like he was the one in the wrong because he was going to file for divorce. I have had the desire in my heart to join the Church for several years and feel like God is leading the way. We have been attending Mass for several months now and I will begin RCIA in the fall as a candidate. Please pray that the annulment process is swift and just for both of us so that we may have our marriage con-validated by the Church as soon as possible. It is the true desire of our hearts to please God. **
