A small child of one of our past RCIA members was diagnosed with Leukemia a few weeks ago, and started Chemo. She had surgery yesterday (possibly bone marrow related), not sure and now has developed a MRSA infection that is not responding at the surgery site. She is at Brenner’s Children’s in Winston-Salem. Please add her, Katie Thornton to all the prayer lists.

Jesus, Katie’s immune system is compromised and now she’s trying to fight infection, please give her strength and heal the poor little girl. Help her family through her treatment and recovery. We place Katie in your hands.
 
Praying for Katie and her family, and for those taking care of her.

Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us, and increase Your mercy in us, so that in difficult moments we might not despair, nor become despondent, but with great confidence, submit ourselves to Your Holy Will, which is Love and Mercy itself. Amen

Lord, have mercy on this sweet suffering child and her family. Guide the medical staff to make good decisions in her care and strengthen her immune system. Take away all fear; give her family peace and this child Your healing.
 
Merciful God, please lay your hand upon little Katie and heal her. We ask this in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ. AMEN
