Heavenly Father, in Jesus’ name, please flood Your compassionate love into cancer sufferers, for their healing and peace, for their families. Please allow those suffering from cancer the opportunity and means to battle and to cure their illness. Please surround them and all who love them with Your light and love.
Please give graces for their faith and trust in You and to live Your love in their lives, and for the dying, in their deaths. Please let cancer research be successful in finding less painful and radical treatments, and find cures for these awful afflictions.

Lord, please bless all those suffering from cancer with consolation. May they receive the best of care from their health care providers, never despair of their salvation and be able to turn to You in their dark nights of suffering and find Your light shining forth for them. Keep them close to you and let them know they are loved so tenderly by such a good and gracious Father. May they place their complete trust in You and be surrendered to Your most precious will for them. Bless their health care providers by letting them be the most perfect instruments of love and mercy for your children in their need and suffering. Give them courage and strength and perseverence as they battle to keep souls alive and filled with hope in You. Thank you for the health care providers who are images of Your Son for the poor suffering souls of cancer. Thank you for the poor and suffering souls suffering cancer who are the images of Christ for their health care providers. They allow suffering to be a means to attain the graces of endurance, character, and hope: a hope which never disappoints. Amen.
