Please pray for my associate, Fr. Brendan.

What follows is his request sent to the Monastic Life list:
The other day, when I woke up and opened my eyes, I noticed a very
filmy black veil hanging down in the right eye. A couple of blinks,
and the veil went away, resolving itself into a large floater. I
called my PCP, and my eye doctor called me last night, telling me to
get into his office at 7:00 this morning. He dilated my eye, and
told me the floater was a blood clot. The retina seems to be okay.
However, the doctor believes that there is a hemorrhage in the eye,
and he couldn’t see past the clot, so I have to lay at a 30° angle
until next Monday.

There will be a need for laser surgery after that, to cauterize the
bleeder. If muy retina is coming loose, then they will have to operate.
 
Relying on Your goodness, O God, we humbly ask You, through the intercession of Saint Lucy, Virgin and Martyr, to give perfect vision to the eyes of Your servant, Fr Brendan, that they may serve for Your greater honour and glory.

Saint Lucy, hear our prayers and obtain our petitions. Amen.

Father please have compassion on Fr Brendon as sight is so precious a gift and to have it threatened is distressing for any of us. For love of Your beloved Son, please heal and protect the eye of this faithful apostle of Jesus. Please give him reassurance and peace and use this time to benefit Fr Brendon and his apostolate in some way.
