I have a son who’s about to make simple vows as a Benedictine monk at Conception Abbey in Conception MO. on Aug 15th.

Requesting prayers for his vocation

Thanks & God Bless :gopray:

Our Father, who art in Heaven,
Hallowed be Thy name.
Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done,
On Earth as It is in Heaven.
Give us this day, our daily bread,
And forgive us our tresspasses,
As we forgive those who tresspass against us,
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil, Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with Thee.
Blessed art Thou amongst women,
And blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners,
Now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Glory be to The Father, and The Son, and The Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be,
World without end. Amen.

My prayers are with you and your son! You’ve obviously done something right with him:thumbsup:

Also a Pater Noster, Ave Maria and Gloria Patris.

Congratulations Ambrose to your son and his family on this very important occasion.

What a beautiful day to profess vows!
He’ll be in my prayers.

Thank you VERY MUCH for your prayers. I couldn’t help but get the feeling as we were going into the Cathedral at Conception Abbey & taking our seats for Mass today, that I was the father of the groom.

My son got the name he’d wanted since he was about 14 & began to consider monastic life, Maximilian for Maximilian Kolbe a saint you all know, who’s been a tremendous influence in his life.

He’s home with us now for a week of vacation & our family just returned from a night out having dinner. All of us are members of the Militia Immaculata & believe it or not, he gave a miraculous medal to the waitress. Sounds kinda weird for a Benedictine monk but thats who he is. 🤷

Thanks again for your prayers & God Bless.

Lord,
Please guide this young man as he dedicates his life to You. Grant him strength, courage, and peace to do Your will, through the intercession of our Blessed Lady and St. Benedict

Amen.
