I don’t ask this often…but I ask for your prayers and intersessions over the next while. My family and I can certainly use them.
  • I have been unemployed for five months now, with no leads in sight.
  • My wife is working very little, so we have no money coming in.
  • The sciatic nerve in my back is causing me much grief, forcing me at the age of 28 to often walk with a cane and sleep on the couch (instead of with my wife in the bed).
  • I have a blood vessel disorder which means I have severe issues with very cold and very hot temperatures. We’ve been hitting 110 degrees (40 if you’re metric) and we have no AC.
  • My wife has suffered with clinical depression for several years, and thank God it is being treated…but there were times last week where she relapsed pretty heavily into despair.
  • I have ADHD, it is not being treated due to lack of money. My brain is hardwired not to be patient…so you can figure out how my mood has been the last while.
Some of these have been intensified recently because we’re also expecting our first child, who is due in six months.

One of the things keeping me sane is there is a lot of solid developments happening with the youth group I’ve been helping out with for the last seven years, a lot of spiritual growth with the teens. That fills me with joy and gives me hope, that our labours can (and will) bear fruit.

I know things will get better and God will not abandon us. I know now more than ever we need to trust in His Divine Mercy.

But…man, there are times we feel like Job did.

-I have prayed for you and your wife; May Christ return health to you, all will be well,-God have mercy.-

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women, and blessed
is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners
now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Praying for your intentions:

Behold me, my beloved Jesus, weighed down
under the burden of my trials and sufferings, I
cast myself at Your feet, that You may renew
my strength and my courage, while I rest here
in Your Presence. Permit me to lay down my
cross in Your Sacred Heart, for only Your infinite
goodness can sustain me; only Your love
can help me bear my cross; only Your powerful
hand can lighten its weight. O Divine King,
Jesus, whose heart is so compassionate to the
afflicted, I wish to live in You; suffer and die in
You. During my life be to be my model and
my support; At the hour of my death, be my
hope and my refuge. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace; the Lord is with thee;
blessed art thou among women, and blessed is
the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary,
Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at
the hour of our death. Amen.
