Would it be proper to pray “O Most Holy Theotokos, save us!” on all 33 knots of a prayer rope?

The traditional prayer for use on the prayer rope to the Mother of God is:

Most Holy Sovereign Lady Theotokos, save me a sinner!

Other invocations include that of St John the Baptist, the Guardian Angel and any other Saint we wish.

Monastic rules sometimes require the prayer to the Theotokos to be said 100 times for every 1000 Jesus Prayers and the like. One may say the Prayer to the Theotokos on the larger, divider beads, whether every 25 or ten woollen knots.

If we say such an invocation to the Mother of God or any Saint 600 times, then this fulfills the rule to replace a Moleben/prayer service.

The prayer rope can be used for Our Father’s and any other prayer as it is simply a prayer counter.

If one doesn’t have a prayer rope, one may pray the Jesus Prayer for a period of time i.e. 15 minutes and there is a rule laid down on Mt Athos in this manner to replace the Daily Office.
