Hello!

I spend a lot of my time in meditation praying using a 50 knot chotki with the Jesus prayer. I have seen various chotki bracelets sometimes called komboskini but I am not sure where to order those from. If you all would recommend places to order these from or if anyone makes them on here or would be willing to send me one, just let me know!

God bless!

I know Landon has already ordered his rope from a monastery, but just for anyone else who’s interested I’m still making ropes and selling them to anyone who wants one. You can check out my blog under my signature. There’s ordering info on my blog. 😃

I’d suggest ordering from this guy (a fellow forum member): themasterbeadsman.blogspot.com/

His ropes are excellent quality (I wear one around my wrist). Some of my friends wear his 33-knot ropes on their wrists, although the 33-knot rope was too small for me (I’m larger than average), so I ordered a 100-knot rope and wrap it around my wrist.

Either way, these prayer ropes are some of the best out there.

That’s Phillip in the third post in this thread. I own several of his ropes and my girlfriend wears one of his bracelets pushed up on her arm every day.

Rolfes Ropes are works of art.

Hi Guys,

It’s funny that this thread should pop up to the top again today. I actually just finished making an experimental “rosary/prayer rope” that is a combination rosary, prayer rope, and St. Charbel chaplet. It occurred to me that there really isn’t any sort of prayer rope for the Maronite tradition, so I figured I’d combine the three things many Maronites are known to use into one little rope.

Unfortunately the work was deliberately not my best, so I’m unsure whether or not I want to post pictures. I realized that I have a tendency to give away my personal prayer ropes when I meet someone I feel could use one. My most recent one went to an Orthodox catechumen who will be baptized in Ukraine some time in the near future. I believe he also plans on entering the seminary. Long story short, I found myself ropeless. 😛

If y’all would like to see pictures of my little invention, just let me know and I’ll figure out a way to get them up here. 😃

Interesting. 🙂

To add to what others have said, we also have a 40 knot rope Phillip made us, used when chanting the Hours while the priest is doing Proskomedia. 👍

You can be ropeless but please don’t get to the end of your rope. Despair is lack of trust in God. Hope is a desire, a desire for heaven. There is always hope, and always another rope.

OK…

My girlfriend is non-denominational but questions and comes to Bible study with me. She wears one of your bracelets on her forearm every day. Says it reminds her of God and reminds her to pray throughout the day.

She is going to kill me for this… Greenville, South Carolina.
