I have recently had a very strong calling back to the faith and I have been digesting apologetics for a few weeks now.

I feel my experience is so profound, I want with all my heart to bring my wife into the fullness of the Church. She has expressed a desire to be baptised, but not for some time. I know she is busy with work, and we have had a lot of stress in our lives recently.

I want to evangelise, and help others, but ‘charity begins at home’ in this case.
Please pray that God will plant a seed in my wife’s mind during this lent. I find it difficult to broach the subject, so I ask that God recognise my weakness and create openings for me.

Please pray for me that the Lord will plant questions in my wife’s mind, and give me the wisdom and courage to answer that call. May my answers set her heart on fire and thirst for the truth of the Church.

Thank you and God bless.

Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Lord, in your love you have called us! We are on fire for your Word, for your Love, for your Mercy! You have set our soul on fire and we desire to share it. But, our spouses are afraid, perhaps of our new found love, or even resentful at times.

We sympathize with you Lord, when you visited your home town, and no one respected you. You couldn’t perform any miracles other than a few people being healed. You told us that a prophet is not welcomed in his home town. We feel like that sometimes Lord. We want to share your Love with the ones we love most. But we receive a cold reception. Even though they love us, they are afraid of the love we desire to share.

SO, in all faith and love and will, Lord, we beg you that YOUR WILL be done in our lives. If you are calling our loved ones as well, send them people who will break open their cold, or thorny or rocky hearts and let you move in. We will exalt your name forever for we believe Lord it is your desire for husband and wife to love each other in all ways, emotionally, physically and UNITED with you, in the spirit.

We pray for all couples who are not united in the faith, but especially RCUK and his wife. May they be a testimony of your love, mercy and surprises! Amen.

Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, I adore Thee profoundly. I offer Thee the most precious Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ, present in all the Tabernacles of the world, in reparation for the outrages, sacrileges and indifferences whereby He is offended. And through the infinite merits of His most Sacred Heart and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg of Thee the conversion of poor sinners.

Praying to the Holy Spirit to give your wife guidance & direction back to the Church.

Holy Michael the Archangel defend us in the day of battle.
Be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host,
by the Power of God,
thrust down to hell, satan and all the wicked spirits,
who wander through the world for the ruin of souls.
Amen.

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession and was left forsaken. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you I come, before you I stand, a sorrowful sinner. Despise not my words, O Mother of the Word, but in your mercy, hear and answer me.
Amen

We offer our prayers for you and your wife to find unity in Faith, especially that both will grow in understanding and Love for the Way of Jesus, and His Hope and Faith. May you both keep patience and respect as you explore your differences and understand your dreams and fears.

rcuk,
please allow me to read these prayers along with you, because,
with the exceptions of my wife being born Catholic and drifting away,
and my reconversion being 4 years ago,
our stories, and desires, are the same.
I will pray for you in empathy.

Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us now and at the hour of our death Amen.

Our Father who art in heaven
Hallowed be thy name
Thy kingdom come
Thy will be done
On earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our trespasses
As we forgive those who trespass against us
Lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil
Amen.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Praying for your to have wisdom with your wife as to what, how and when you should share your faith. Mostly you must continue to love your wife and live His life in you. The doors will open little by little. I highly recommend that you go to Adoration and bring this request to our Lord. Pray novena’s for your wife.

Blessings to you both and welcome home,
mlz

Thank you for your prayers so far!

I wanted to tell you all that God did act on these prayers. Events happened over the last few days, quite unexpectedly, which opened the doors to conversations, and a very profound conversation last night!

I wanted you all to know that your prayers made a difference. Thank you! And please continue to pray for us. :gopray:

I hope that over Easter we may have more time to talk.

My wife’s heart and mind seems open- please pray that it remains so and that she strengthens in her will to find God.
