Prayer the same?

Is all prayer the same? I mean when I pray for someone else and when I pray for me are they of equal value? does it depend on what is prayed for>? I afraid that I seem to have forgotten alot of what I learned in CCD.
 
All prayer is not the same, but it is all good, as long as it is sincere. It is good to include all the basic kinds of prayer in your daily prayer:
  • Praise
  • Thanksgiving
  • Petition (asking God for what we and others need)
  • Atonement (sorrow for sin)
Any prayer that leads you into a loving relationship with God is good. Praying for others is also an act of charity.
