Dear St. Anthony, I am imprisoned by walls of selfishness, prejudice, suspicion. I am enslaved by human respect and the fear of other people’s opinions of me. St. Anthony, Liberator of Prisoners, tear down my prison walls. Break the chains that hold me captive. Make me free with the freedom Christ has won for me. To your powerful intercession I also recommend these intentions.
For those who are in prison, that they may find God and be brought to contrition for their actions. For those who are victims of those in prison, that they may trust in God for their justice and vengeance. For the families of both the prisoners and the victims, that they may find peace in God and reconcile their hearts to Him. For those who have been unjustly accused, that their day of redemption may speedily come and that they may be freed from their injustice. For those who are wrongfully held captive against their will in both relationships and wars, that their captivity may be loosed.
These things, gracious Saint Anthony, I request that you assist me in my petitions to the Lord. May the Lord hear our prayers.
