A Prayer to Our Lady of Mercy

O Mary, our dear Lady of Jasna Gora, look graciously
upon your children in this troubled and sinful world.
Embrace us all in your loving and Motherly protection.
Protect our youth from godless ways;
assist our dear ones, who have grown old,
to prepare for their journey home;
shield our defenseless unborn from the horrors
of abortion, and be our strength against all sins.
Spare our children from all hatred, discrimination and war.
Fill our hearts, our homes and our world with the peace
and love, which comes only from your Son whom you
so tenderly embrace.
O Queen and Mother, be our comfort and strength!
In Jesus’ name we pray.
Amen.
 
Eternal God , in whom mercy is endless,
and the treasury of compassion inexhastible ,
look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us ,
that in difficult moments we might not despair
nor become despondent , but with great confidence ,
submit ourselves to Your Holy Will ,
which is love and mercy itself . Amen

I was sent to teach many people about love…but they killed me in the womb
I was sent with new ideas to cure disease…but they killed me in the womb
I was sent to be a modern saint and live heroic virtues, a model for all to see…but the killed me in the womb
I was sent to be born with severe disabilities, to teach compassion to many…but they killed me in the womb
I was sent to be a peacemaker in the midst of a great world conflict…but they killed me in the womb
I was sent to help a homeless man find shelter on a cold and windy night…but they killed me in the womb

I sent you to save a child from drowning…but they blocked your conception
I sent you to show my love in art and music…but they blocked your conception
I sent you to hold your mother’s hand as she transitioned from life to death…but they blocked your conception
I sent you to brake the cycle of addiction in your family and friends…but they blocked your conception
I sent you to bring my word to a new generation from the alter of my Church…but they blocked your conception
I sent you to teach many people about love…but they blocked my love from entering the world through you.

Lord God, I thank you today for the gift of my life,
And for the lives of all my brothers and sisters.
I know there is nothing that destroys more life than abortion,
Yet I rejoice that you have conquered death
by the Resurrection of Your Son.
I am ready to do my part in ending abortion.
Today I commit myself
Never to be silent,
Never to be passive,
Never to be forgetful of the unborn.
I commit myself to be active in the pro-life movement,
And never to stop defending life
Until all my brothers and sisters are protected,
And our nation once again becomes
A nation with liberty and justice
Not just for some, but for all,
Through Christ our Lord. Amen!
 
Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, I love you so very much.
Please save the life of the unborn child I have spiritually adopted.

Humble Mary of Nazareth, you were chosen by God to bear within you our world’s greatest gift, the Savior of all humanity. I come to you now on behalf of all mother considering abortion today and pray for the health and safety of the child that God has graced her to conceive.

Guard this life that God has created, and protect the mother God has chosen for this child. Let your gentle hands, like that of a skilled physician, assist in her delivery so that this baby will know good health and lasting happiness.

May her child be favored with the grace of Holy Baptism, and grow to love our Lord Jesus Christ above all else in this world. Amen.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

O God, our Creator, all life is in your hands from conception until death. Help us to cherish our children and to reverence the awesome privilege of our share in creation. May all people live and die in dignity and love. Bless all those who defend the rights of the unborn, the handicapped and the aged. Enlighten and be merciful toward those who fail to love, and give them peace. Let freedom be tempered by responsibility, integrity and morality.
Through the intercession of Our Lady of Guadalupe, amen.
