I have a prayer to Saint Anthony that i got off the internet. Here is the first sentance:

Dear Saint Anthony, God wants us to see Christ, our brother, in everyone and love Him truly in word and in deed.

Is the bolded part refering to Jesus or Saint Anthony? It sounds to me that it is talking about Jesus, but he would be Father not Brother, correct? It’s just the wording is confusing me.

Thankyou for your help.

No, brother would be referring to Christ. God the Father is our Heavenly Father, God the Son (Christ) is our Elder Brother, Mary our Mother, and all believers, saints in heaven, souls in purgatory and Christians on earth, are our brothers and sisters in Christ

Oh ok. Thankyou very much for your help.

We are adopted sons of God, Jesus is the Son of God, so that makes us His brothers.

John 3:2
**Dearly beloved, we are now the sons of God; and it hath not yet appeared what we shall be. We know, that, when he shall appear, we shall be like to him: because we shall see him as he is.

So in the Our Father prayer, we are praying to God our Heavenly Father?
