Hi -
I am going to try to quit smoking tomorrow for good, so please pray for me to have the will to carry this out. Prayers much needed and very much appreciated.
 
Prayer to Halt Smoking

O Mary, conceived without sin,
pray for us who have recourse to thee.

Through the grace of your purity,
may this unclean habit cease.

From the stench of smoke, the foul taste in our mouths,
the stains on our hands and teeth, Pray for us.

From coughing and phlegm, from polluted blood,
from heart and lung disease, Pray for us.

From habit and slavery, Pray for us.

From tension, fear, and anxiety, Pray for us.

For health and calm and peace, Pray for us.

Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God, that,
by Christ redeemed, we choose to live in purity.

O most beautiful Flower of Mount Carmel, fruitful vine, splendor of Heaven, Blessed Mother of the Son of God, Immaculate Virgin, assist me in this my necessity. O Star of the Sea, help me and show me herein that you are my Mother.

O Holy Mary, Mother of God, Queen of Heaven and earth, I humbly beseech you from the bottom of my heart, to succor me in this my necessity. There are none that can withstand your power. O show me herein that you are my Mother.

Father, please bless gigi mvn with the graces needed to persevere in resisting the temptation to smoke.
Give gigi mvn hope that each time the temptation is resisted, in those situations where habit makes it difficult, gradually cigarettes will indeed lose it’s attraction.
Please bless gigi mvn with health of soul, mind, and body.

Dear Mother please pray for gigi mvn’s welfare of soul, mind and body.

I pray for gigi mvn that she can stand up
to the cravings for cigarettes and that
SHE IS NOT ALONE in this, WE are
the Body of Christ, and each one of us
is a member of one another!!! 1 Cor.
12:27 It also says that our bodies are
members of Christ, and should NOT be
enslaved to cigarettes! 1 Cor. 6:15
