**Please pray that I may be able to pray again.
I have lost my desire and will to pray
because of all the stress I’m under.
I found such solace in the Office and the Rosary
and now it’s gone. CAF has become my life
because I am Disable and alone all day;
and now that grace is taken from me.
Please pray that I can pray again.

Dear Dan,

Have you tried using ejaculatory prayers? They are an easy and great way to pray throughout the day. Just start by memorizing a few, you don’t have to feel anything, just say them all day long for people. While you’re driving, shopping, at work. The Holy Spirit takes over. I promise it helps.

Here are some of my favorites and I’ll say them now with you in mind:

Jesus, Mary and Joseph

Jesus, Mary and Joseph, assist me now and in my las agony.

Jesus, Mary, I love you, save souls.

Mary, Mother of grace, Mother of mercy, shield me from the enemy and receive me at the hour of my death. Amen

Most Sacred Heart of Jesus I implore, that I may ever love Thee more and more.

Jesus, meek and humble of heart, make my heart like unto Thine.

+God come to my assistance, Lord, make haste to help me.

Heal me O Lord and I shall be healed. Save me and I shall be saved.

(When stuck in traffic, enduring a trial, doing work we don’t like:)

All for Jesus, all through Mary, all in imitation of St Joseph.

Come Holy Ghost Creator Blest and in our souls take up Thy rest.

There are many more.

I think the best you can do is just wait quietly and ask God to be with you. You have been praying for others so much. Now it is time for you to let others pray for you! 🙂

I will keep you in my prayers and offer a special prayer for you to find strength, purpose and peace.

In the quiet of your room, close your eyes and imagine Jesus saying to you:-
“My child,
The cross you now carry may seem to you and to others a show of weakness, a defeat, a liability, even a temptation. Be patient, my precious one, because in reality, in the end, you will see how I will turn your cross into your resurrection, your strength, your victory. Someday this cross will be your personal ministry.”

Don’t let this eat at you too, and give you more burden upon your shoulders. Like others have said, you pray and do so much for others, let us pray and do for you now.
Lay your head against us, and let us carry YOU for a while. Don’t worry about not praying for others, you need to rest and care for yourself right now. The rest of us will pray for the others, and will keep praying for you right now.

Just do the short little prayers, just to stay close to God, but let us take care of the heavy stuff until you have rested and are strong again. There is no shame in needing to mentally, and physically rest. You are under so much stress right now in trying to get your son back, just work on that. We will do the praying for others, and I know once everything is more settled in your life, the Dan we know will return.

Take care of yourself and know that your brothers and sisters here, have your back, and are praying for you.

Rest with God for now Dan, you’ve earned it.

We are praying for you my friend. If you can, picture yoursel and your family at the foot of the cross, looking straight up, see the the blood of our Lord dripping down on you all. Let the blood of the Lamb cover you. Find peace brother !

Dan, You have so much weighing on you. Even your mother against you.
I agree with all above. The bible speaks of John the apostle, that Jesus loved most,
laying his head on the breast of Jesus. Dan, just lay your head on Jesus. Rest.
And let your friends stand in the gap and carry you. We all love you and will carry
you.

Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle, be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him we humbly pray and do thou oh Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the power of God, cast into Hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Will keep you in my prayers. Though I am far from anyone you should probably listen to. You may be experiencing what St. John of the Cross called the “Dark Night of the Soul”. Apparently as one’s prayer life grows, one may experience this feeling of uselessness in prayer and that Our Lord has abandoned them - Mother Teresa talks of this happening to her in her book. Don’t give up on prayer, continue, it may be a trial you most work through.

Blessed Mother please intercede w/ your son and the Holy Spirit to bring consolation to Dan. In Jesus’ Name I pray. :crossrc:
