I ask the Lord to send a dispatch of angels to watch over these children as they travel, as they eat, sleep and play. I ask the Lord to protect their little hearts from injustice or pain and that when necessary their innocence always guarded. I pray for cool heads on all fronts and as He is Master of all things, He will not disregard our pleas.

:gopray2: we will be praying and holding them up to God. it is a bad situation but God is able to bring them out. our confidence has to be in God for only He can resolve this mess. mamawm :gopray2:

Thank you wgholland and mamawn. I did see my niece and nephew today and they lost so much weigh. The last two weeks at their dad, Marissa lost 8 pounds and Luis 6. Before going again they both gained 4 pounds while with mom. My niece told me that she asked her dad on the day of the court hearing if she would be going home to her mother and he said, “No, I won the first round.” She also told us that one day while at her dad’s daycare she ate and so did her stepsister, her age as well, but not Luis. They got home and the stepmom had dinner ready and both girls said they were too full. They were forced to eat. The stepsister over ate so much she ended throwing up and was punished for doing so and sent to her room. Marissa said she was not stupid and just refused to eat, she hates throwing up, but cried. Because she cried and wouldn’t eat, she too was sent to her room. How sad huh?

Luis has not talked about his two weeks and my sister doesn’t ask question when they get back. If they talk she will listen, but so far no words from him and he has been quiet. Marissa was so happy to be home. She looked so happy today and hugged me so tightly and said she missed me. She did forget her glasses, that she is suppose to wear all the time, at her dads. My sister picked them up at the daycare and not his house. She called and emailed her ex and Marissa also called him, but he said he will see what he will do. He comes to this side of town daily to go to his place of business and could have brought them today, but didn’t. My sister is concerned for her daughter’s eyesight. I did ask Marissa if she is wearing it like she is suppose to and she said no. Her dad knows she needs to be wearing them and doesn’t enforce it. My sister may have to go to a near by doctor to get another pair. Marissa has left things before at her dad’s and he will just keep them. Norma is worried about that. Marissa did tell me as I was driving away that her stepmom is not working and is home alone all day for her “alone time” and is “meaner than ever.” Apparently, she is getting fatter and fatter. Her dad will not leave the kids alone anymore with his new wife, but takes them to his business all day.

Hi everyone,
I just came from seeing my sister’s attorney. I hate the way the state of Florida does things. The lawyer did not think things went bad in the last hearing. It was to be expected for many judges do continue the hearing at another day. As far as the child abuse, she said that it was to be proved that it is happening. We told her that the counselor admitted to emotional abuse. She encouraged us to tell the counselor to report it to DCF herself. I am so discouraged by the system. As fars as asking for sole custody it is unheard of here in Florida. The next court date is sometime in August. WE are going to ask a guardian ad litem, but all she or he could recommend is that the dad get counseling or go to anger management and parenting classes. I pray for my niece and nephew. The system does not protect kids from mental abuse. This dad will not harm the kids anymore physically for he knows that is visible.😦

I get so tired of all this too and know my sister is sick of it. My poor sister. Divorce really ruins the kids. By the way, my niece came home from her dad’s on the 18th and we found out that she has a website on youtube.com and myspace.com and has for her age 15. Her stepsister who is 15 did this for her and her own sister who is also 10 like Marissa.

Nana, I have no advise. Thank you for keeping us updated and know that you are all in my daily prayers.:gopray:

Thank you so much. The kids go to their dad’s August 1 and return now on the 15th. Please, everyone, pray for their safety. thank you.

I received the 911 tape of the call of the day the dad was yelling at his wife. It was horrible. I cried. My sister has it to allow the kid’s counselors to hear. You could hear the anger of the dad in the background calling my niece and apparently grabbed one of them for you hear the wife defending the kids and telling the dad to leave. The teen who made the call called her step dad “violent” and “hurting his children” and her mom. It was sad to hear what my niece and nephew had to go through.😦

The continuance of the hearing is sometime in August and we hope a Guardian ad litem is ordered by the judge.

May God guide and protect His little ones during these next two weeks while they visit their father’s home. May He give strength to their mother while they are gone. We pray that their father allow the Holy Spirit into his heart. Amen.

Thank you Maria, Stadre and trinitygirl for your prayers and words of encouragement. I just now got off the phone with my sister who said she received a call from the children’s counselor. She told the counselor of some new developments, mainly that her son Luis is acting out of anger again and saying that he hates his dad and doesn’t want to go today with him. She told the counselor that Luis has written a letter to her saying that he is so angry at his dad and doesn’t want to be abused anymore. He said in the letter, “I am so mad at you daddy.” To the counselor he wrote, “Have a nice day. I am sooooo mad at daddy and Gayle and won’t be pushed around anymore.” Of course, he had misspelling, but the counselor wants to see the letter. Norma also told the counselor that last night her ex called to speak to the kids and Luis refused and said he didn’t want to speak to him. Angel’s response to his 10 yr. old daughter is, “Someone must be talking to him for he was never like this.” True, he always loved to go to his dad and loved his dad. Now in the summer, since he has had two set of two weeks and time to abuse them verbally and physically, Luis is tired of being hit and doesn’t want to go and hates his dad. Angel sees all this as Norma’s fault and takes no responsibility. Norma told the counselor how Luis is having tantrums in his sleep as well.

After hearing all this the counselor, a miracle and thanks to all of your prayers, has decided to call the department of childrens and family to report mental abuse to the children by the dad and allow them to listen to the 911 call which in itself is very revealing of his excessive and explosive anger. The very anger he denies is what is evident on the call. We hope and pray the DCF will suspend visitation and the kids will not go to their dad today at 3 p.m. If they should go because the counselor said she would not be able to call until 1 p.m., we hope that DCF will take the kids away from him and bring them home to Norma.

Thanks so much for your prayers. I know God’s will be done and that we had to be patient in understanding why all this had to occur, but it may be time now and God will allow the kids to be safe these last two weeks before school. I hope they find peace. If you have a little time today, pray for today could be the day. I will keep you all posted of what happens. I feel that you all have been my support team and family. We are family, the family of God. I can’t express how much it has helped me to get through all this and be there for my sister. There were times I read your responses to her and she would cry and tell me to thank you all and that God blesses you in your lives for your prayers of intercession for her and her kids. I can’t express in words how you all have helped. Thank you.:grouphug:

I will let you all know what happens today.

I pray that Jesus will answer our prayers for the children’s safety and well being. Thank you Jesus for listening to us. Mother Mary pray for these little children and their mental and physical well being.

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God, have mercy on me a sinner, and on this request…

My sister, Norma, and her children, Marissa and Luis need immediate prayers and prayers for a long time. I have posted many times about her case under different threads, one being “when it is too much.” I don’t remember the rest, but her ex and her are divorce now for two years and we believe has a personality disorder as well as his wife. Anyway, the law can do nothing. He is very abusive emotinally and verbally to the children and child protective services has been informed and does nothing. He has been physically abusive with my nephew and has left a welt on his bottom for excessive spanking. He is an excessive liar in person, on the stand in court, in his emails and before police officers. He is also a police officer and so is his current wife. He is running a daycare currently with his wife.

Anyway, something happened today that again he won. To not go into details, he has the children and kept them from school to get his way in a situation that my sister disagreed upon and lied to the officer we had to call.

Please pray for my sister and her children. The voices of these kids are not being heard and they will be going to their dad’s for two weeks on and off throughout the summer. They are neglected and not feed or watched properly when at their dad’s. This has been going on for two years with no hope of improving for them. I don’t know what to tell my sister anymore. I just pray. She has been crying off and on all day today and has lost hope also. The kids see their counselors this Friday. If they talk, if not too afraid, and disclose to the therapist of what really happens at their dad’s, the therapist has the right to stop all visitation for the dad. We need this miracle, but the children have been threatened by their dad and his wife not to speak of anything that goes on at their house. Please, please pray. Thanks so much.
Praying.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit as it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be, world without end.

Amen.

Hi everyone, thanks for the continued prayers and the new people who joined in the prayers.

My sister, just got a call from the children’s counselor and told her that she was not able to make her report with the person my sister gave her. She is a manager and doesn’t take reports and suggested that she get a hold of my sister to get the name of the person who came out to the house the last time. I am talking about DCF, or Child protective services. I can’t believe the manager could not just give the doctor the name of the person so that time won’t be wasted. My sister did give the name and number of the DCF case worker that came out to her house to the psychologist. She did tell my sister that what she will recommend very strongly to DCF is that the dad should not be alone with the children and needs supervised visitation because of child abuse. Yes, finally someone has said it and will act on it. I hope it is enough for DCF to take the kids away from him for he has them until the 15th of August. The psychologist is not going to be working on Monday and we hope she gets a hold of DCF today to make her report.

Thanks for your prayers, just letting you know what we are all waiting for now. I pray that this month of Our Lady and Our Mother, that she will intercede for the children and that Jesus will answer the prayer and our prayers with a “yes” in keeping the dad from the kids, at least while unsupervised.

My nephew, on the day that his dad was to pick him up August 1st, woke up and immediately went to my sister’s laptop to write a letter to his dad. This is what he wrote and was taking with him to his dad, “Daddy, you and Gayle (stepmom) are very mean people.” Of course his spelling was bad, but you can understand it. My sister tried to tell him that this letter would make his dad angrier, but he said, “I don’t care. I won’t be pushed around anymore.” Needless to say, since the dad knew that his son said over the phone the night before that he was not going with him, sent his wife to pick up the kids. The kids did go without resistance, thank God.
