Peace be with you, May I please receive forgiveness from those I may have offended and ask that this forum be blessed for the opportunities that it provides to share our faith. In Jesus the Christ’s name, Amen. I find that confession must be complete in it’s process and tradition in order to receive absolution. Absolute means exactly that, it is the entirity of the sins to be forgiven and not the forgiveness of an abrevation or overview we seek forgiveness for. If it were not needed to include all infractions aginst his words and commandments, then why not present the father the list for review at his leisure. Thank you and have a blessed day.

johnbertram, God bless you for your sincere thoughts, and for your trust in God’s mercy in Confession.
May God’s peace, in its fullness, be with you too.

I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
Creator of heaven and earth; and in Jesus
Christ, His only Son, our Lord: Who was
conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the
Virgin Mary; suffered under Pontius
Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried.
He descended into hell; the third day He
rose again from the dead; He ascended
into heaven, is seated at the right hand of
God the Father Almighty; from thence He
shall come to judge the living and the
dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the
Holy Catholic Church, the communion of
Saints, the forgiveness of sins, the
resurrection of the body, and life
everlasting. Amen.
