Prayer

Recently was asked by 10 year old granddaughter if God knows all things, why do we pray? Are we just trying to change His mind?

Old discussion, I know, but my 70 year old mind went blank. Can anybody suggest an answer that we both could understand?

I think that you have posted this in the wrong forum (you’ve posted it in prayer intentions). Perhaps a moderator could move it for you.
