I and my family really are desperate for prayers. I have a medical condition that doctors really know nothing about, although some like to think they do. My oldest daughter also has it and is 90% bedridden. My other daughter almost died and by the grace of God they saved her life and we believe that her GP doctor actually found the cause of this near death experience when a year of specialists could not. She also is having other major problems and several have been seen but as usual doctors can’t find out what is wrong.

I lost my third daughter two years ago, they say from natural causes which is odd for a young person. My youngest has other issues which I believe are associated with her ADHD and being molested for months at 3 years old by two separate men. These were in homes with babysitters. I asked her to see a therapist and she has agreed. She is just full of anger and I think when you don’t get help after horrible things happen to you, it affects your emotions. She was too young for therapy at 3 as I tried it and her father did not take any interest in her welfare or the other children.

I am getting worried that I won’t be here for long or will be incapable of walking and need to know what all the other diseases I have because of the major medical issue. The medical field has admitted that a person might have one disease that is connected, but know so little that they don’t understand that some people’s whole body is autoimmune and there are up to 80 different diseases associated with it and one could have many as their whole body is autoimmune.

Sorry this is so long but because there is no help out there I pray that God will heal us and feel prayers will be the only answer.

Prayer to St. Lydia of Thyatira

St. Lydia, you were the first convert St. Paul had. As a merchant of purple cloth, you were a prosperous and successful businesswoman. You are an inspiration to so many for your diligence, practicality, and willingness to embrace this new religion. Thank you for offering St. Paul and St. Timothy a place to stay, and for letting your home be the meeting place for Christians. Your house was an early church building!

St. Lydia, we humbly ask you to hear the petitions we present to you today, especially for Bernadette and her family. Please present these prayers to Jesus, and do not cease interceding for us until He answers with mercy. Pray also that we may be brave about our faith and be willing to share the mercy and love of God with all we meet. Amen.

St. John Marie Vianney, your life was a complete offering to God for the service of all; we pray that through the power of the Holy Spirit we may all respond today, with courage to the challenges of our personal vocation.

You were an assiduous adorer of Christ in the Blessed Sacrament. Help us to approach the Holy Eucharist with faith and reverence, so that we may enjoy his abiding presence in the Most Blessed Sacrament.

You were a friend of sinners. You always reminded them: “Your sins are just like grains of sand in front of the great mountain of the mercy of God.” Loosen the bonds of fear that prevents us to approach the mercy of God: help us to be truly sorrowful for our sins. Help us to discover the true face of God who always waits for the return of the prodigal son.

You were always a help to the poor: “My secret is simple; it is to give all and to keep nothing for myself.” Teach us to share with those who are in need, help us to be free from our attachments to money and to all false riches.

You were a loving child of the Blessed Mother, “your most lasting affection.” Teach us to turn to her with simplicity and confidence of a child. You are now the example of pastors of the world. Let your pastoral charity lead the pastors of our times to discover the bond that unites all without discrimination of persons; give them the love for the Church, the passion for the apostolate, and the strength in the face of many difficulties.

Inspire our young people to understand the grandeur of the priestly ministry and the joy to embrace the call of the Good Shepherd.

Holy Cure of Ars, intercede for us. Obtain for us what we ask for in faith, especially for Bernadette’s family… you are the humble and faithful pastor, ever faithful in the service of God and all. Amen

the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into TheDoctor’s sister’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

Make use, I implore you, of that particular privilege accorded to you of bringing visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great need, that I may receive the consolations and succor of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations and sufferings, in particular BernadetteM and her family, and that I may bless God with you and all the elect throughout eternity. I promise you, O Blessed St. Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favor, and I will never cease to honor you as my special and powerful patron, and to do all in my power to encourage devotion to you. Mary, Mother of God, it is our Christian belief that all who fashion their lives in imitation of your Son, Jesus Christ, and have placed their hope in Him are gathered together in a communion of saints. Those who have gone before us live in intimate communion with Christ. You are the most eminent of them, for you were drawn into His life and being as no other. You who gave Him human life followed Jesus, the Way, the Truth and the Life.

Teach us, Mary, to embrace Christ fully, to make Him our Way, our Truth, our Life. Teach us, Mary, to carry Christ to the world, and, each in our own way, to give Him birth in the hearts of many. Protect your people, Mary; protect your Church. Through Jesus Christ Our Lord, Amen.
