I am completely lost… I am entering my senior year of high school and after I graduate I had planned on going to Italy for a gap year to learn Italian. I know I want to double major in Spanish and Marketing for college (after my gap year), but now I feel like everything is so jumbled up. I know, this is stupid to be asking for prayers but please pray for my direction. I don’t know if God is wanting me to go on a gap year to Italy, or even at all. I am so stressed out and I get so worked up at night thinking about what I’m going to do when I graduate, when should I apply for college, where should I apply, what if my parents don’t let me go to where I want (my mom has expressed concerns for wanting to go to school far away…). Its just too much. Is there a novena out there that would help me? I just want to do Gods will but everything is so foggy and I can’t tell where I’m supposed to be going. Any advice or little prayers you could offer me would be greatly appreciated  😦 Thank you & God bless.

Praying for your stress to ease and for you to make the best decision.

Say a novena to St Joseph, he was chosen by God to guide, lead and protect the Blessed Mother and Jesus Himself, he can help you.

For your intentions.

Our Father…

Hail Mary…

Glory Be…

My Lord Jesus, lead all souls to heaven
especially those most in need of thy mercy.
Our Father…Hail Mary x10
Glory Be…Fatima Prayer
Amen!

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Prayer to Our Lady of Mental Peace

O Lady of Mental Peace,
Mother of Tranquility
and Mother of Hope,
look upon cgp124 in this time
of weakness and unrest.

Teach her searching heart
to know that God’s Love
for her is unchanging and
unchangeable, and, that
true human love can only
begin and grow by touching
His Love.

Let your gentle Peace -
which this world cannot give
  • be always with her.
And, help her to bring this
    same Peace into the lives
    of others.
Our Lady of Mental Peace,
  • Pray for us!
    Amen.
Jesus, Help Me!

In every need let me come to You with humble trust,
saying:
Jesus, help me!
In all my doubts, perplexities, and temptations:
Jesus, help me!
In hours of loneliness, weariness and trials:
Jesus, help me!
In the failure of my plans and hopes, in disappointments,
troubles and sorrows:
Jesus, help me!
When others fail me, and Your Grace alone can assist me:
Jesus, help me!
When I throw myself on Your tender Love as Savior:
Jesus, help me!
When my heart is cast down by failure, at seeing no good
come from my efforts:
Jesus, help me!
When I feel impatient, and my cross irritates me:
Jesus, help me!
When I am ill, and my head and hands cannot work and
I am lonely:
Jesus, help me!

Always, always, in spite of weakness, falls and short-
comings of every kind:
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, help me and never forsake me!

Amen

For Help in Trials

Most holy apostle St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the name of the traitor who delivered your beloved Master into the hands of His enemies has caused you to be forgotten by many. But the Church honors and invokes you universally as the patron of hopeless cases–of things despaired of. Pray for me who feels so hopeless. Make use, I implore you, of that particular privilege accorded to you of bringing visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great need, that I may receive the consolations and succor of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations and sufferings, in particular (cgp124, and that I may bless God with you and all the elect throughout eternity. I promise you, O Blessed St. Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favor, and I will never cease to honor you as my special and powerful patron, and to do all in my power to encourage devotion to you. Amen.

I’m praying for you. May God resolve your situation and grant you success.

It is never stupid to ask for prayers. You are wise to ask for prayers!

May Our Lord Jesus Christ lead and guide you to where He wants you to be.

May our Blessed Mother intercede for you.

**I will go dressed and armed with the weapons of Saint George so that my enemies, having feet will not reach me; having hands will not trap me; having eyes will not see me, neither with thought can they cause me harm.

Firearms will not reach my body; knives and swords will break without touching my body, ropes and chains will break without tying my body.

Jesus Christ protects and defends me with the power of His Holy and Divine Grace.

The Virgin of Nazareth covers me with her sacred and divine mantle, protecting me in all my dolors and afflictions.

And God, with His Divine Mercy and great power, is my defender against the evils and persecutions of my enemies.

Glorious Saint George, in the name of God, extend to me your shield and your powerful arms, defending me with your strength and your greatness; and may my enemies underneath your feet become humble and submissive to you.

So Be it in the Power of God, of Jesus Christ and of the Divine Holy Spirit. Amen

Prayer to St. Christina the Astonishing

St. Christina, you are one of those saints that baffle the mind. Even in your own lifetime, people didn’t know what to make of you. They thought you possessed, insane, or in league with the devil. Only a few people saw through the astonishing to the holy Christina underneath. You were holy not because of the bizarre feats you underwent, for your levitation, or for smelling sin on people. You were holy because of your love for other people. When faced with the joy and peace of heaven, you chose to go back to earth to suffer for the souls in Purgatory. You prayed for them, sacrificed for them, and endured ridicule for their sake. Your holiness came from your willingness to follow God’s will in your life, no matter the cost of reputation.

Saint Christina, we could all use your spunk and your willingness to appear a fool for God. Pray for us that we may listen and discern God’s voice in our souls, and that we implement His will no matter what befall us. I especially ask you to remember today all those who are mentally ill, the souls in Purgatory, and for the intentions posted here today. May some of your liveliness and tenacity descend on us for the glory of God. Amen.

St. Christina, pray for us!

He was so helpful to me, and I was a few years older than you. About 23 when I finally asked for some help. I had fumbled, and struggled and boy do I wish I had asked for help my HS senior year! (I think you are given a gift and an opportunity. Your anxiety should turn into excitement in no time.)

God Bless you and I too will say same prayers as UMC Convert!

Also, when I get really anxious or stressed I recently found that the Emergency Novena or otherwise Flying Novena is wonderful 9plus1 Memorares. Also the rosary. I never really said it before I became a mother!

Our Lady Undoer of Knots has also proven to be helpful during stressful events/times in my family.

Praying for you, try not to think about everything it all the time and keep saying the prayer
Thy will be done, thats the most important prayer. It helped me today and I was really feeling sorry for myself this morning.
