What’s the difference between blessing someone and praying for someone? Many protestants think it’s synonymous.
 
We pray and blessings are gifts from God…So to say we bless someone is allowing Gods grace to be bestowed through us…We can even bless ourselves by making the sign of the cross on ourselves but really we’re invoking God into our lives… Prayer is communication with God… That’s my not too complicated of an answer…😉
