Prayers Desperately Needed- Teenage relative arrested for murder

I have never posted for prayers before but we so desperately need them now… my cousin’s oldest son, who is 19 years old, was arrested for murder last night. I have not seen him in a couple of years as we live in a different part of the country now, but I know he has a newborn baby, and also that he had strayed very far from the light of God in the past couple of years. Our grandmother is 86, and a widow, and lives in the same town where this happens. The heartbreak and sorrow she is feeling now is devastating, as it is for our entire family. Please pray for peace for the man who died, comfort for his family, and for our family as we struggle to understand such a horrific act.

But the Church honors and invokes you universally as the patron of hopeless cases–of things despaired of. Pray for me who feels so hopeless. Make use, I implore you, of that particular privilege accorded to you of bringing visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great need, that I may receive the consolations and succor of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations and sufferings, in particular (TabbyLilac’s cousin’s oldest son), and that I may bless God with you and all the elect throughout eternity. I promise you, O Blessed St. Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favor, and I will never cease to honor you as my special and powerful patron, and to do all in my power to encourage devotion to you. Heavenly Father please send Your Holy Spirit with healing and grace in this nightmarish tragedy for all families involved, including the victim’s.
Please give strength, hope, and recovery to them all.

You and your family are in my prayers and I cry for you. The pain must be tremendous. Certainly Our Lady Undoer of Knots could be invoked in such a situation. Remember that no one is beyond Our Lady’s grasp. May God be with you, your family, the young man involved, and the family of the victim.
 
Oh dear Jesus, such pain is felt by so many in these families- please touch them with your flame of love and bring you mercy and healing in their hearts. Protect them from the evil one and give them hope in this tragic situation.
