My house has lots of bugs in it, most especially the restroom and kitchen. Please pray that they may leave, Godwilling.

Buy some Raid or Boric Acid & put it under the sinks places where animals & children can’t get to it. Boric acid is sold at Walgreens. What kind of bugs you talking about…what part of the country do you live in? Also if you spray the outside of the house it stops bugs from coming inside.

Eucharisted… you will be in my prayers.

I also have a suggestion. If you’re like many people, you may have plastic “market” bags in and around your cabinets and sinks. Get rid of them or put them inside a sealed container. I read that plastic market bags… attract insects, especially roaches.

We had the same problem. I started keeping our plastic market bags (which we recycle, as small trash bags) in a plastic bin. And the problem is now greatly diminished. We only get an occasional “wood roach”… because we live near a woody area.

You might also try scattering a few Bay Leaves in your cupboards. Many insects don’t like the taste or the smell of Bay Leaves, and they will depart!

Hope these suggestions help. God bless.

You can also add powdered sugar to the Boric acid and line the floor where it meets the wall. The sugar draws the bugs, and then they injest the Boric acid.

You can also caulk around the toilet and bathtub and make sure there are no water leaks, and run bleach and hotwater through the garbage disposal.

Also try emptying the trash every night even if it isn’t full if you haven’t been already, and not buying any produce you can’t keep in the fridge (like bananas).

A pest control guy told me that spiders and roaches eat the glue from cardboard boxes and tape, and that both roaches and spiders eat newsprint. Get rid of newspapers and cardboard boxes, too.

Blast those little guys, Eucharisted.

[SIGN][/SIGN]you got to be kidding. i can find better more important issues in life then to ask our father to rid our home of bugs. i dcannot in my my right mind pray for this it cant be that bad you need Gods help to rid bugs?

Fumigate your house, Eucharisted. Supermarkets sell the fumigator, it’s easy to use. You open this fumigator can, close all windows, and leave the house for a few hours. The gaseous antibug agent will kill roaches, spiders, ants, their eggs, and will penetrate everywhere e.g. behind the kitchen furniture, in cracks etc. Then you come back and open the windows and air out the house.

The boric acid inside the house is really effective and non-toxic to humans. In addition, there are those long-acting bug sprays (6-12 months) that you can use to spray around your doorframes and windowframes on the outside of the house, the places where the bugs would crawl in.

Eeek…I will most certainly be praying for you. I agree with others, on their advice, and also make sure you don’t leave wet towels, etc laying around in the restrooms, if it’s hot outside, run your air to keep the house cool, bugs usually don’t like coolness, and don’t leave opened bag or boxes of food laying around. Good luck and God bless!

Eucharisted,
You said esp. the bathroom and kitchen - are they coming in through the drains? We get spiders and ants in hot dry weather and all manner of crawlies when we’re getting a lot of rain like we are now. Keep the drain plugs in place and tight. Also, worst case, drano makes a very effective bug deterrent in the drains…

I have said a prayer, though, because you asked for it.

What kind of bugs? I have found that 20 Mule team Borax works well to keep bugs out, especially ants. Roaches and silverfish may need an exterminator.

Just a bit of humor here: years ago I was studying entymology in college and the Professor told us that if your house doesn’t have any bugs, it is not a healthy house, because if bugs can’t live in a house, it’s not good for people either. Just thought I’d throw that in to make you feel better–your house is probably healthy:D

Eucharisted, The best solution for your pest problem is to kill them with the best chemical you can find. I highly recommend Tempo and Tengard. It’s commercial grade insecticide. Buy Tempo in powder form. Just sprinkle it around the house and other infested areas. Tempo will kill anything that crawls and if they go back to their nesting areas, it will kill their offsprings, eggs, and mamas as well. Tengard does the same killing. Tengard gives you about 7 days of protection. One small bottle of Tempo is about $75. Tengard is about $120. It is expensive but it beats anything you can find at the Home Depot or Lowe’s. It will give you many years of usage. You can find Tempo and Tengard at most farm supplier or feed store.

With all due respect… bug infestations can be a very serious problem. Insects can carry very dangerous germs and bacteria. Some of them, such as certain spiders… are venomous and can pose a threat to human health and human life.

The prayer is quite valid, especially if the infestation is bad.

God bless you.

Dear Nick

Don’t you like bugs? They only bug us because we’re living unnaturally and not in harmony with nature. Clearly there is something wrong if our fellow creatures bug us. It’s a punishment of types from the equilibrium to let us know we are not livng right. If we change the way we live we can fix the bug problem. We should all try to get in tune with the equilibrum and repair it with the goal of getting paradise back. Unachievable but I think it’s what our Lord died for, along with making heaven possible once again.

God bless you dear Nick:thumbsup:🙂

You should call professional pest control. They have new treatments now that are kid and pet friendly, and you don’t have to move out of your house for 3 days. I had good luck with room foggers, but you have to put one in every room, or the bugs just leave and come back. Roaches can eat ANYTHING that was EVER alive. Glue, paper, grease, wood, cotton, non-synthetic rubber…etc. Yuck! 😛

OK, I agree it may seem silly to some, but I’ve been there myself. I still have tons of spiders here, some creepy beetle-like things, a few silver slimy things, and had a problem with carpenter ants last year. Not fun.

Prayers for you, Eucharisted. I agree with the boric acid. I have it around my door and patio door. Take the trash out often and be careful of crumbs. I’m not sure what type of bugs you have, but it’s possible you may have a leak somewhere in the bathroom that’s attracting them. Have you called an exterminator? Do you own a house or rent?

thank you february for you answer hope and pray you get rid of those bugs. God bless you

Here’s another suggestion: Ortho Home Defense - Indoor. They also have an outdoor. It’s good for an assortment of bugs and infesting life forms. There is one with an orange scent that is safe for use around pets (read label carefully to be sure).

Also, as other posters have said: Borax is really good and boric acid helps, too. Once pests get entrenched, it takes a lot to get them thoroughly gone. They may be God’s creatures also, but they don’t need to share our intimate living spaces. They have their own.

You’re in my prayers, Eucharisted.

the drain plug for the bathroom tub is also very important. you can find it at Home Depot, Walgreens, Rite Aid for about 2 dollars. cockroaches love to crawl up through the bathtub drain.
