Dear Brothers and sisters,

I promised my friend, a recent widow, who is now entangled in some financial difficulties, I’d ask pryers on CAF. Some of you were very faithful in praying for her after her husband’s sudden death especially while she was trying to sell their house and move.

Thanks be to God’s Mercy and the intercessory prayers of the Body of Christ, God enabled the house to be sold and she moved. Now there is to be a meeting in January that she is to attend and she is in need of God’s Wisdom and protection, so I ask you again for your prayers, that God will answer her call for His help.

Thanks so much to all who will join me in asking God;s Will for my friend, that this newest trial will increase her faith, hope and above all her charity, and she will continue to witness before all the Great Love and Mercy of God.

Thanks so very much – I will let her know and I ama sure she will be very grateful. 🙂

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

For Help in Trials

Most holy apostle St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the name of the traitor who delivered your beloved Master into the hands of His enemies has caused you to be forgotten by many. But the Church honors and invokes you universally as the patron of hopeless cases–of things despaired of. Pray for me who feels so hopeless. Make use, I implore you, of that particular privilege accorded to you of bringing visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great need, that I may receive the consolations and succor of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations and sufferings, in particular (a recent widow, who is now entangled in some financial difficulties), and that I may bless God with you and all the elect throughout eternity. I promise you, O Blessed St. Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favor, and I will never cease to honor you as my special and powerful patron, and to do all in my power to encourage devotion to you. Amen.

Thanks so much, pollylodges, for your prayers.

The Our Father, of course, is the perfect prayer and the Hail Mary following is precious also. The prayer to St. Jude and to St. Michael the Archangel are powerful prayers, which I know my friend will be very grateful to receive.

I am grateful to you as well, for in the Body of Christ as one member grows, we all grow! Prayer offered in love with attention and devotion surely builds up the Body of Christ.

Ah, Katie,

I wondered if you might recognize this prayer request as one for the recent widow who had such difficulties in selling her house. We were so grateful to you and Katherine and others, but especially you two, for your faithfulness through that time of trial, and I’m trusting God has allowed this new trial for my friend out of His Great Love for her and His work of sanctifying her yet more.

She continues to believe and trust and love Him and I am confident she will never be disappointed in Him Who is Love! Thanks again, dear sister in Jesus and Mary.

O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of Mercy for us, I trust in You!

Eternal Father, I offer you the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your Dearly Beloved Son, Our Lord, Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.

For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world. x10

Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

Dear Lily,

My friend is beginning a novena to Our Lady of Guadalupe tomorrow, Dec. 28 - it would have been her husband’s 70th birthday. I’m confident that prayer offered with faith and perseverance, with attention and devotion, always is answered according to God’s Holy Will. Thanks for adding your prayers to ours. God willing, I’ll keep you posted.

Ah, Katherine,

I had hopes you and Katie would join in prayers for my friend again! If you’ve been reading this thread you know I can’t give details but that it does involve some financial difficulties.

Thanks so much for your prayers. As I just told lilypadrees our friend wrote to me that she is beginning a novena tomorrow to Our Lady of Guadalupe. I believe, as so many of God’s children believe, God loves to receive our prayers through Mary. 🙂

I am going to pray the Divine Mercy chaplet now, mindful of His Great Mercy on us, especially in giving Mary to us from His Cross.

Jesus, we trust in You!
Mary, Mother of Mercy, pray for us.

Dear MariaChristi,
Thank you for your kind appreciation🌸continued prayers for your friend …

Remember,
O most gracious Virgin Mary that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, Implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided.

Inspired by this confidence, I fly to you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother.

To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in Thy mercy hear and answer me, Amen.

Dear Katie,

Both my friend and I so appreciated your and Katherine’s faithfulness in praying for the sale of her house! It was a long trial for her. This new trial was an unexpected one, but again, we are putting our trust in God through Mary.

My friend wrote that she is beginning a novena today to our Lady of Guadalupe in preparation for this serious and important meeting involving family finances. I told her i would join her – she didn’t specify any special prayer to Our Lady, so I told her I would begin with the most perfect of all prayers, the “Our Father” and would include an invocation to Mary, remembering her words to St. Juan Diego: “Am I not your Mother? Are you not in the crossing of My Arms?”

If anyone on this thread would like to join in this Novena, please do. If you have a favorite prayer to Our Lady of Guadalupe by all means offer that prayer for God’s Will to be done at this Meeting.

Again, thanks to all.

Dearest Katherine,

Thanks so very much – and to all who are praying for my friend, may the Lord accomplish His Will through our prayers, for His Glory and the building up of the Body of Christ in Love.

I have prayed for your dear friend.

✞ In the name of the Father,
And of the Son,
And of the Holy Spirit.
Amen

Thanks so very much, sancte_trinitatis! Please keep up the prayers for this important meeting on Jan. 6. – that God be glorified, and His Will be done. I’ll keep the thread updated as I hear from my friend.

Thanks to all who are joining us in this prayer request. My friend and I are very grateful to all, through Mary our Mother.
