Lord have mercy…
A co-worker of mine who I am “teamed up” with at work was a few months pregnant. She told me that a couple of years ago, she was pregnant as well. But a few months into that pregnancy, she had a miscarriage. Today, she told me that she thinks she had a miscarriage. Her pregnancy has caused her to have complications so it’s possible she miscarried within the last few days.
She was crying today, which is hard enough since our job requires us to work long shifts and is incredibly stressful, as well as physically strenuous. Which makes me wonder…what if it’s the stress, physical exertion, and long work hours that caused her to miscarry? I’m obviously not a doctor, but it’s possible that she has a longer history of miscarriages that she doesn’t tell anyone.
I told her I would pray for her. Not sure what else I can do. I might refer her to the Pope Paul VI Institute?
