I still need prayers for my friend, Michael. His dad is in jail, his mom and grandmother don’t want him living with them evne if he was to pay rent, and he currently has a psychiatric disability. He is running out of options on where to live. I wish I could talk to his family and figuratively knock some sense into them but their lack of compassion is simply astounding.

Keeping your friend and the situation in daily prayer…

Father, watch over your child, Michael, and his family here on earth. They need your mercy and grace so desperately at this time. Help Michael to find a home, where he is welcomed and loved, as you so love him, his family, and all of us.

Our Father, who art in Heaven,
Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, Thy Will be done
On earth, as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day, our daily bread
And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive those who trespass against us,
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil.
Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou amongst women,
And blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners,
Now and at the hour of our death.
Amen

This is terribly sad to hear. I will pray for this whole situation to be resolved. Our Father…Hail Mary…Glory Be…

Goofy,

I will be praying to St. Michael for Michael. Perhaps there is a Catholic Charity (halfway house type situation) that may be available.

I have four recommendations:
  1. Since you don’t list where you’re from, here’s a link to the Catholic Charities which also includes housing options. Perhaps you could find one in your area?
  2. I also recomment finding out where your local St. Vincent De Paul Society in your area.

**Society of Saint Vincent de Paul

  1. Here’s a map to the various Boys Town satellite organizations around the United States. In any crisis, you or your friend can call them at 1-800-448-3000 with any questions; they may also refer Michael to other resources.
  2. And check your yellow pages for Catholic Shelters. If you can’t find a listing, contact your Archdiocese office to see what men’s shelters are available. Shelters are a good bottom-start to opening more doors while waiting for other organizations to work, and many offer free counselling unti lhe can get the qualified care he needs. In fact, many shelters can do referrals for psychiatric care.
God bless,

M.

I’m praying for your friend Michael and his family.

Prayerfully,

Renato

Jesus,

Please speak forgiveness into the situation and compassion. Healing hurt is difficult and carrying one’s cross is not always easy. Help us to most importantly find solutions for Michael and pray that reconciliation is made possible. Heal us Lord Jesus!! Amen.
