Reading the other threads I almost don’t want to post. The Lord has blessed us in so many ways this year leading us home and my wife to Baptism (she was confessing before but hadn’t been Baptised). I praise His name for all His wonderful blessings and would ask that you my brothers and sisters pray for us that He continues to leads us and that we have the strength to follow.

While we have been looking for a house for some time, we found out that some of the things we thought we were doing to increase our credit score, decreased it. In the current market that has put is in a difficult bind.

We do believe that we can still purcahse one but have to come up with more of a downpayment. At first we thought this was no problem and that we would just a few more months.

However we found out yesterday that our landlord wants to sell our house ASAP so we need to buy now, even though we aren’t really able yet.

If there is room on your prayer list please include us that we will be able to find the right house and have the means to purcahse it.

If your prayer list if almost full though, please remember those in this thread who are hurting from situations much more grave than ours. If you have the room though, your intercession would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,
Joe

Joe,
God always has the time to hear one more prayer: Lord Jesus, please grant Joe’s family the financial means to move into a new home. You know his struggles and his situations. Please bless this family. I also ask for the intercession of St. Joseph in Jesus’ name, Amen. God bless you.

I am praying for you and your family to have what you need in a timely manner in order to have your home secured.

Keeping your housing needs in prayer with St. Joseph The Worker…

Thank you so much everyone, I feel truly blessed to be a part of this community.

I just got a note tonight from my landlord (via email) saying that they wanted us to move out by April 5th. When we spoke yesterday they were talking 90 days or more.

So much for being excellent tenants for almost 5 years. 😦

However I’m confident everything with work out, it’s in His hands and my family and I greatly appreciate your prayers, I know they will help!

Sincerely,
Joe

Praying

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Thank you for this update, Joe. Yes, God has His Plan for you and sometimes it can unfold under most unfortunate circumstances…His Plan is for your Peace and your Joy nonetheless…keeping the situation and you in daily prayer…

“All Glory and Honor are yours Almighty Father”

Since my post on the 20th God has truly done wonders for my family and I.

Last week we tried to come up with the money for a downpayment after finding out we had to move so that we could go head and buy but were still just a little short. For the first time ever my MIL got a bonus this year and was able to give us part of that so that we could move forward.

While we were unsure, highly doubtful actually, if we could get approved in the current market, we did.

While we doubted the house we saw and loved but resigned ourselves we couldn’t have a month ago would still be on the market, it was.

When we made on offer, the best we could really do, we thought they would counter, they didn’t.

When we waited to see if the contingency from another party would keep us from the house, it didn’t.

We have waited so long to buy and 2 weeks ago resigned to ourselves that it wasn’t going to happen for a while. After finding what we felt like was the perfect house in the perfect Catholic neighborhood, we didn’t want to look.

If our landlord haddn’t pushed us out, we wouldn’t have tried because we just didn’t believe it could happen.

While we won’t close on the house until the 24th for March (still giving us time to move) we are soon going to have that perfect house in the perfect neighborhood we have always dreamed of for our boys.

I did not and could not have done this nor could have my wife, truly “All Glory and Honor” go to God.

Once again I want to thank all of you, I’m certian that your prayers and intercession for us made a difference.

Catholic Answers has been a tremendous blessing during our RCIA process, providing me answers on the few sticky questions that lingered.

On Holy Saturday my wife will be Baptized at the Easter Vigil and I will come into Full Communion with our Church. This past year has taken us farther than we could have ever imagined in our Faith. That Journey has now also lead us to a wonderful home for us to raise our family in.

Thank you so much for keeping us in your prays!

Sincerely,
Joe

Dear Joe,
Such great news! What a powerful testimony of your faith, too! Prayers can do wonders, can’t they? You are truly blessed with your faith, your wife and your boys ~ now a new home! How exciting. It seems everything is coming together for you. Praise God, and thank You, Lord! Amen.

Praise be to God! May He continue to bless you, your family, and your new home for many years to come.

Dear Joe -
DiggidyDog took the words right out of my keyboard. A prayer list has no boundaries in length. And, Mommyof4 - love your signature pic.

Joe - I’ve heard we shouldn’t pray for money, so this prayer’s a challenge! If this house is right for you, may God put the keys to the door in your hand, the Deed in your possession and you and your family in it with the blessings of good health, happiness and prosperity.
