Prayers for a Safe Sail

I’m going on a day long sailing trip on my tall ship that I’m a volunteer for. Please pray for a safe, uneventful trip. Sailing aboard a tall ship is a very different kettle of fish safety wise and crew members face more accidents.

Also, can anyone provide me with more information about the patron saint of the sea/sailors? Could use that and any relevant prayers you dig up. Thanks. I’m considering purchasing a sacramental, probably a medal, for wear when I’m out underway sailing, probably a St. Nicholas of Myra medal or a St. Erasmus medal. Maybe St. Michael as well.
 

Mariner’s Prayer

Our Lady, Star of the Sea, Mother of God
and our Mother, you know all the dangers
of soul and body that threaten mariners.
Protect your sons and daughters who work
and travel on the waters of the world, and

Star of the Sea, Mother of the Church,
