Hello all. I’m having surgery on Tuesday for a tumor and I’m a little nervous. But, I’ll take all the prayers I can get so everyone please include me and my surgical team in your prayers.

Glenda

Praying for your health & recovery & successful surgical outcome.

A Prayer Before Surgery

O Jesus Christ, Messiah and Lord,
grant me joyful acceptance of the surgery
which awaits me. Let this be the relief
and cure that I seek. Make skilled the work
of the surgeon and that of his team
for it is unto their knowledge and skill
that I give myself for healing. I pray You, O Lord,
that this procedure will be without complication,
and that my recovery will be speedy and complete.

Through Christ Our Lord, Amen.

Glenda,
prayers for you and your surgical team said. May your surgery go well and may you have a quick recovery.
Mary.

:gopray2:

Christ said to His loved ones:
“I am with you, fear not, be not anxious.” May I, then, be confident
that in the trials and crosses of my life that You, O Lord, will be my
constant companion. Whenever I cannot stand, You will carry me
lovingly in Your arms. May I have no fear of what may happen
tomorrow. For the same Eternal Father Who cares for me today
will take care of me tomorrow and every day of my life. You, O Lord,
will either shield me from suffering or give me strength to bear it patiently.
May I be at peace then, and put aside all useless thoughts, anxieties
and worries.
Amen.

Memorare

REMEMBER, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, I fly to thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother; to thee do I come; before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen.

Prayer to St. Luke:

Most charming and saintly Physician, you were animated by the heavenly Spirit of love. In faithfully detailing the humanity of Jesus, you also showed His divinity and His genuine compassion for all human beings. Inspire our physicians with your professionalism and with the divine compassion for their patients. Enable them to cure the ills of both body and spirit that afflict so many in our day.

Amen.

P.S. Talk with your pastor about receiving the Anointing of the Sick prior to surgery.

Prayer for a Miracle

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal glendab. You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into glendab’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

Praying for you Glenda. God bless you! Keep us posted.

Remembering in prayer you and the medical professionals charged with your care. God bless.

Thank you so very much. I went to Mass this morning and afterwards several of the women there came up to me to let me know they are praying for me and one dragged me back to the Sacristy where I got anointed by Father and prayed over and even hugged for good measure. I’m feeling a little nervous and tense but it is helpful to know many are praying for me and my surgical team. Thank you very much and don’t stop praying. It ain’t over till the pathology tests on the masses come back benign and the fat lady sings.
