Prayers for Acne

Hello again everyone

I would just like to please ask you for some prayers for my acne
I’m making some big lifestyle changes that should help it but it is getting worse before it gets better

Please pray that I get rid of it quickly and learn not to let it bother me

Acne sucks man. Try buying some oxy, it works for me. I’m praying for you.
 
Go to your GP and ask for one of the long term, low dose antibiotics which can be used for treating acne: it takes three weeks or so to kick in, and is then like a miracle…Diet, unless you are eating ludicrously badly, has little to do with acne but it can be easily cleared up with the right medication and it is important to do so before you have scarring…

St. Maximilian Kolbe, faithful follower of St. Francis of Assisi, inflamed by the love of God you dedicated your life to the practice of virtue and to works of the apostolate. Look down with favor upon us who devoutly confide in your intercession.

Having consecrated yourself to the Immaculate Virgin Mary, you inspired countless souls to holy life and to various forms of the apostolate in order to do good to others and to spread the kingdom of God. Obtain for us the grace by our lives and labors to draw many souls to Christ.

May God grant you at least some degree of relief from your troubles. I assume you’re younger, so I prayed for the intercession of St. Aloysius Gonzaga and our Blessed Mother, and St. Joseph. catholicherald.com/News/Aloysius_Gonzaga__A_Patron_Saint_for_Teenagers/

Since so many are giving advice, you may want to exfoliate daily as well with either a pad or gritty cream. Getting dead skin cells off the surface helps keep sebum from getting trapped. Too bad my mom didn’t know to tell me that when I was a kid! On a lighter note, they do give a lot of squeezin’, poppin’ fun, but I hope the humor does offend because it’s not meant to. 😉 About half of my students bust up laughing when I say that and the other half think it’s gross but seem like they want to laugh.

Why don’t you get some Accutane (Isotretinoin), I used it 35 years ago and it worked great , my acne never came back.

It may work. I was on it for three years and although clearer skin was a side effect so was a continuous nausea and stomache ache. I decided to quit taking it, and started treating my skin gently. A gentle face wash, like Cetaphil, salicylic acid toner, and some kindness seemed to help me more in the long term. There is some good information on the Cosmetics Cop website.

Accutane has some serious side effects. Learner skin may be one of the, but the others might not be worth it. One friend of mine thirty years ago was forced to go on birth control. She was a virgin, but in the event however unlikely she became pregnant while on the drug, the birth defects were horrific.

Keep the side effects posted somewhere you can see them if you get medication, This is good advice for every medication.

I know how distressing acne can be, and be careful with your skin.

When I was on Accutane the only side effects I had was slightly dry lips, it was well worth it for results I got.
 
O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.
 
Praying for your acne to heal and for people not to be unkind to you about it.
 
For those giving advice thank you

But I should tell you my acne is not like most acne
And most videos on severe acne isn’t as bad mine especially on my back

I used antibiotics for a time but once you get off my cystic acne only gets worse because bad bacteria overwhelmed my gut

I’m eating healthy now and taking supplements + using some dreams like tea tree oil

It’s working but I’m going through hex where my body releases toxins causing more acne before it starts going away

Don’t wanna do Acutane because of the side effects and not sure if it will work

I just wrote your name down in my prayer book. After giving birth I had hormone issues so bad that I got acne so severe that after trying everything else I had to go on accutane. I wish now that I hadn’t waited so long. Those were some long, humbling years. You have my compassion and prayers.
 
I know how you feel. I have cystic acne which is the worst kind of acne. Your not alone. I’m on Accutane hoping it will help.
