Hi everyone. I have been on here recently asking for prayers with my anxiety. It has resurfaced after six years of being controlled and it is far worse than I have ever experienced. I have been having very dark thoughts lately and they scare me. I had a panic attack after having a scary thought today and I called my father who left work and hopped on a plane to come see me. He will be here later tonight.

Please continue to pray for me as I deal with these issues. I am not sure what is causing this, but I need it fixed now because I am not sure how much longer I can put up with it.

Also, please pray for my husband as he has no idea how to deal with this at all. He is very baffled and sometimes annoyed at my situation because he has no experience in dealing with mental health. Please pray for us. Please.

May our Lord Jesus Christ, our Blessed Mother and all the angels and saints come to your aid.

May the Peace of our Lord Jesus Christ penetrate every fibre of your being, and take the place of any thoughts that would cause you distress.

Sacred Heart of Jesus, We place our trust in You!

Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us!

I’ll say a rosary for you.

If you don’t mind me asking, you kept this down for six years? Were you okay for those six years, or did you have trouble? How long have you been having these panic attacks, and anxiety?

Do you think it’s spiritual? Or mental?

I too used to struggle with similar things. Medication has helped me. I’m not saying you should take it however. It should be a last resort, but if you cannot function, perhaps you should try some coping mechanisms.

I will pray for you and your husband. I have suffered and still suffer from such things. Get help now. Please. Get to a doctor. Find a support group. My family can’t imagine how I feel.

God bless you and your husband,
Ed

evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

**“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
John 14:27 **

~

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6, 7).

Prayer for Inner Healing
from Fr. Gabriel Amorth

Lord Jesus, you came to heal our wounded hearts. I beg you to heal the torments that cause anxiety in my heart. I beg you, in a particular way, to heal all who are the cause of sin. I beg you to come into my life and heal me of the psychological harms that struck me in my early years and from the injuries that they caused throughout my life.
Lord Jesus, you know my burdens. I lay them all on your Good Shepherd’s Heart. I beseech you - by the merits of the great, open wound in your heart - to heal the small wounds that are mine. Heal the pain of my memories, so that nothing that has happened to me will cause me to remain in pain and anguish, filled with anxiety.

Heal, O Lord, all those wounds that have been the cause of all the evil that is rooted in my life. I want to forgive all those who have offended me. Look to those inner sores that make me unable to forgive. You who came to forgive the afflicted of heart, please, heal my own heart.

Heal, my Lord Jesus, those intimate wounds that cause me physical illness. I offer you my heart. Accept it, Lord, purify it and give me the sentiments of Your Divine Heart. Help me to be meek and humble.

Heal me, O Lord, from the pain caused by the death of my loved ones, which is oppressing me. grant me to regain peace and joy in the knowledge that you are the Resurrection and the life. Make me an authentic witness to your resurrection, your victory over sin and death, your living presence among us. Amen.

Peace

Try breathing using your diaphragm.
A doctor taught me this as I was having anxiety attacks. Fold your hands across your stomach and focus on your breathing instead of your bad thoughts. It really helps.
Praying you will conquer the anxiety and panic.

Gracious and merciful Father, please come to her assistance.

Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Amen.

Prayer to Our Lady of Mental Peace

O Lady of Mental Peace,
Mother of Tranquility
and Mother of Hope,
look upon PolishK in this time
of weakness and unrest.

Teach her searching heart
to know that God’s Love
for her is unchanging and
unchangeable, and, that
true human love can only
begin and grow by touching
His Love.

Let your gentle Peace -
which this world cannot give
  • be always with her.
And, help her to bring this
    same Peace into the lives
    of others.
Our Lady of Mental Peace,
  • Pray for us!
    Amen.
Jesus, Help Me!

In every need let me come to You with humble trust,
saying:
Jesus, help me!
In all my doubts, perplexities, and temptations:
Jesus, help me!
In hours of loneliness, weariness and trials:
Jesus, help me!
In the failure of my plans and hopes, in disappointments,
troubles and sorrows:
Jesus, help me!
When others fail me, and Your Grace alone can assist me:
Jesus, help me!
When I throw myself on Your tender Love as Savior:
Jesus, help me!
When my heart is cast down by failure, at seeing no good
come from my efforts:
Jesus, help me!
When I feel impatient, and my cross irritates me:
Jesus, help me!
When I am ill, and my head and hands cannot work and
I am lonely:
Jesus, help me!

Always, always, in spite of weakness, falls and short-
comings of every kind:
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, help me and never forsake me!

Amen

Remembering you and your husband in my daily prayers. God bless.

**Prayer to St. Dymphna **

Lord, our God,
you graciously chose St. Dymphna
as patroness of those afflicted with mental
and nervous disorders.
She is thus an inspiration
and a symbol of charity
to the thousands who ask her intercession.

Please grant, Lord,
through the prayers of this pure youthful martyr,
relief and consolation to all suffering
such trials — especially for PolishK.

We beg You, Lord,
to hear the prayers of St. Dymphna on our behalf.
Grant all those for whom we pray
patience in their sufferings
and resignation to Your divine will.
Please fill them with hope,
and grant them the relief and cure they so much desire.

We ask this through Christ our Lord
Who suffered agony in the garden.

Amen.

peace; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
