PRAYER FOR HEALING
Healing comes in many forms, God. I turn to You now for the healing of Isaiah that only You and Your love can give. I pray that like Your Son, I will be open to Your will, not mine, during the days and nights ahead. You know my pains and my fears. You know what will comfort me. I place my needs in Your hands and ask Your healing power to touch Isaiah. Give him the grace to accept the healing love You offer him. I ask all this, through the intercession of Our Lady of Lourdes. Amen.

PRAYER OF THE SICK
Dear Jesus, Healer of the Sick, I turn to you in this time of illness. Alleviate the parents worry and sorrow for Isaiah with Your gentle love and grant them the grace and strength to accept this burden. I place my worries in Your hands. I place Isaiah in Your care and humbly ask that You restore Your servant to health again. Above all, grant the parents the grace to acknowledge Your holy will and know that You love Isaiah and are with him in this, most difficult time. Amen.

PRAYER TO SAINT JUDE
Saint Jude, glorious apostle, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the Church honors and invokes thee universally as the patron of helpless cases and of things despaired of.

Pray for me who am so miserable. Make use, I implore thee to bring visible and speedy help where help was almost despaired of. Come to my assistance that I may receive the grace of God in all my difficulties and sufferings and in particular … (For the healing of Isaiah).

May I bless God with thee and all the elect and attain life eternal. I promise thee as my special patron and will do all in my power to encourage devotion to thee and have thee known as patron of helpless cases. Amen.

be done.But i ask You to place Your healing hand upon this situation.I ask You would
open the hearts and minds of decision-makers regarding the life of Isaiah that they will
allow further medical intervention.I pray You would guide doctors to know how to help this
little child to heal him.Lord if it is Your will save this child’s life.If Your Divine plan for him is
not of this life then i humbly pray You would heal and comfort his distressed parents to understand Your will.Lord i trust in You and leave this in Your hands.Amen

I implore you, through His love to look upon Isaiah with compassion. Do not despise my poor prayer. Do not let my trust be confounded! God has granted to you the privilege of aiding mankind in the most desperate cases. Oh come to the aid of Isaiah that he may praise the mercies of God! Feb 19th is the next court hearing to see if the Canadian Health care system will allow Baby Isaiah to remain on his ventilator or will they discontinue his treatment. Please storm heaven like you never have before to save this little one’s life and protect his family!

Thanks for posting this! I think I’ve either broken or dislocated a rib and am offering this up for Baby Isaiah. A medical expert apparently discovered that Baby Isaiah broke a couple of ribs during his traumatic birth which is part of the reason he hasn’t been breathing properly. I’m praying that Isaiah learns to breath on his own before the ventilator is removed.

Baby Isaiah stays on life-support

… The parents of a brain-damaged baby will be back in court **March 11 **in an effort to keep their infant alive. Isaiah May was born in Rocky Mountain House, Alta., in October.

“There haven’t been very many improvements the last few weeks,” said Isaiah’s father Isaac May. “But he is still growing. He’s over 12 pounds.”

A lawyer for the family updated Judge Michelle Crighton Friday morning, in a case that has pitted the parents against the doctors at Edmonton’s Stollery Children’s Hospital.

Last month, doctors wanted to take Isaiah, who is four months old, off life support. Isaiah is severely brain damaged after being deprived of oxygen at birth. But his parents won a court order preventing doctors from removing life support until he is assessed by outside specialists to see if his condition will improve.

“It’s very hard emotionally, physically, everything. It’s not easy,” said Rebecka May, Isaiah’s mother. “Unfortunately that’s what we’ve had to do in order to give Isaiah time.”

Isaiah May has been in the neonatal intensive care unit since he was transferred to the Stollery Childrens’ Hospital in Edmonton after his birth in October. (Submitted photo)Court heard Friday that a neonatologist from Victoria is assessing the infant and plans to return to B.C. to write his report.

The family is also searching for a pediatric neurologist, possibly from New York or Baltimore, to examine their son. It’s not clear if the assessments will be paid for by Alberta Health Services.

The lawyer for the Mays said the family doesn’t want to talk about the assessments right now.

“We’re not expecting miracles here,” said Rosanna Saccomani. “We’re just asking for the family to have some answers they desperately need.”

Online support for the Mays continues to grow. A Facebook site with Isaiah May’s picture and story now has thousands of members from across North America and around the world.
