Prayers for combatting the Devil and his demons

Please offer prayers and Masses and Rosaries for the combatting of the Devil and his demons in my life, the lives of family and friends, and pastors and priests and religious. May God beat back the attempts of the Devil to deceive, destroy, and demolish God’s children and keep them away from His all-loving Son and our Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ. May Mary’s intercession be extremely powerful in routing all the forces of evil in the spiritual realm. I especially ask for the intercession of Blessed John Paul II, whom I consider the person most responsible for my conversion to the Catholic faith who lived in the course of my lifetime. Also, please pray for a friend, who has been under a lot of attack spiritually recently.
 
St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the Devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly hosts, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan, and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

I have a close friend who has been overtaken by drug addiction (heroin)& I tried to help him get off drugs& the street. Well it hasn’t gone as I hoped he was with me for 4 months,then I started getting sick these spells would come over me& I would get scared,so I went into his room where he was sleeping to sleep next to him & I wasn’t asleep yet but still feeling strange ,put my arm over his stomach because I was afraid then this small child size demon came out of his stomach& jumped into me!!I was freaking out,but knew to pray hard to God&Jesus to get it out .With every ounce of me&my faith & the Lord Jesus’s help,it jumped out of me after a few min.& jumped from wall to wall bouncing around the room until it jump back into my friend,I prayed hard to get it out of Jake but it wouldn’t come out.this is true ,it just happened last Friday night,then Jake took my rent $ & my phones,medication,my son’s computer&other things and left. He is a good person who needs our prayers and as many rosarys as possible,the demon couldn’t stay in me because I’m good at heart,My faith is strong,I believe.Sad to say Jake is weak from his past,hating himself &addiction.PLEASE HELP ME&HIM,I’m very hurt by his actions& angry at him so I need to pray for help in forgiving ,thankyou for all who will help Jake D.I swear this is true and scary to me.

One thing that might help is not just the prayers, but also the strategies by which you pray.

I’ve taken similar concerns to the Confessors and Spiritual Directors at the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Wash, DC (note the credibility of the organization). They told me simply not to give any more “credit” to the devil than is necessary. This is similar to the way exorcists practice - when they refuse to acknowledge the devil - focusing on God instead.

The other thing is, if you are suffering internal struggles with sin… (I’m not saying you are, but IF such were the case…) while the devil is the origin of such sin in the world… try to focus on peacefully remedying and reconciling onesself to God through striving for growth in Catholic virtue… In other words, we are sometimes at fault, not the devil - and we have to work toward forgiveness and faith building to correct the problem… From the letter of Saint James all good giving and every perfect gift comes from our father above, so focus on God…

If any of this offends your religious sensibilities, then I apologize in advance. Just see the devil for what he is - a liar - and pay him no mind; focus on God’s gifts to us in Faith, Hope and Love. Grow in these virtues. And, whatever the case, count your blessings, and be thankful for the good gifts God has sent you and other in your lives.

Your own petition is eloquently spoken. This reply is in itself a prayeful response and meditation.

Thankyou for all the prayers for my friend&I,he came to me last night he hadn’t done any drugs in 4 days,even though he’s sick from withdrawl.He is trying to make amends,I believe its the prayers working because usually he never looks back,it gives me hope.Any ideas how to get a demon out{ safel}???

I fervently pray for the successful realization of your intentions, for all our sake and for those you specifically mention, and I also ask for the forgiveness of all our sins and for the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, your guardian angel, St. Michael the Archangel, Blesseds John Paul II and Mother Theresa, and St. Peter the Apostle, as well as all the angels, saints and blesseds.
