Please pray for the repose of the soul of Deacon Tom Bello, OFS; former National Minister of the Secular Franciscan Order. Deacon Tom passed away Tuesday after a long illness. Please keep his family in your prayers as well. Thank you.

Prayers always.

Tom was a wonderful deacon and person. I was fortunate to have known him as a part of my formation to the diaconate. His presence on earth will be greatly missed here in the diocese of Arlington.

Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord,
and let perpetual light shine upon him.
May he rest in peace.
May his soul, and all the souls of the faithful departed,
through the mercy of God,
Rest in peace.
 
Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou amongst women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.

Eternal God , in whom mercy is endless,
and the treasury of compassion inexhastible ,
look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us ,
that in difficult moments we might not despair
nor become despondent , but with great confidence ,
submit ourselves to Your Holy Will ,
which is love and mercy itself . Amen

Memorare (Prayer to Our Lady)
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help, or sought your intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your mercy, hear and answer me. Amen
 
Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

May Deacon Tom rest in peace in the arms of our Lord, and may those who love him be comforted.
 
May Deacon Thomas Rest In Peace. May all Angels lead him in to Heaven. I also pray for his family.
Thanks be to God for Deacon life and service to God and his leading many persons to God .
