Prayers for discernment

Hello friends,

I have a dilemma on my hands. I’ve been out of work since last February, and it looks like I’m about to get offered a job. The problem is, I’ve started down the path of going to school for nursing. Now, I don’t really know how realistic it is for me to keep going to school, because I’m paying for everything (including living expenses) out of my own pocket. But I’m really not that excited about this job prospect that won’t pay very much at all. Would you pray for me that I’m able—with God’s help—to discern what to do in this situation? Do I take the job? Do I quit school? Do I turn down the job and try to keep school going? I really don’t know what to do.

Most Glorious Virgin, chosen by the Eternal Counsel to be the Mother of the Eternal Word made flesh, thou who art the treasurer of Divine graces, and the advocate of sinners, I, thy most unworthy servant, have recourse to thee; be thou pleased to be my guide and counselor in this vale of tears.

i would suggest go to church and offer your prayers there to help you with this decision.

Then sleep on it next day ask yourself ; do you want to be a nurse?
If yes why do you want to be a nurse?

If the reason is superficial then you should consider taking the Job until such time as you have a clear idea of what really suits you.

If the reason is Strong then pray for God to confirm your judgement , believe me he will. Then place yourself in his hands and he will ensure you have enough money to take you through the course.

Also remember to offer any sacrifices you have to make to God as a prayer to make you a good nurse.

Whatever happens I know if you pray that God direct you by his will not yours you will find youself in the place you will be most fruitfull in.
