I am asking again for prayers for employment for my husband. He has interviewed with two law enforcement agencies, but hasn’t had any communication back from them one way or the other. I know the city has delayed hiring until they are into the new fiscal year, but that doesn’t start until September 1. The other agency is hoping to have new recruits in academy by the beginning of August. We have been waiting, and not always patiently, since the beginning of May.

I’m sure our situation is not as difficult as others, but this is an extraordinary stress on our marriage for all the reasons you can imagine. Please pray for a swift resolution to this situation.

I’ll be thinking of you and I wish you well, but…well, look at my tag above. I have real doubts about the power of prayer, so…well.

That being said, I can imagine just how stressful it must be for your husband. I do know jobs are really hard to come by these days, and in law enforcement? it’s so hard because the governments are cutting back. Kind of sad, really.

My best friend’s a Philly cop and she says that they are overworked, and it’s hard just to get a day (night in her case) off, b/c they are so busy, but the city’s in a fiscal mess, and they are cutting back on hiring new recruits.

I do hope your husband gets a break and finds a job soon. I’ve been going through ups and downs at my job, too. A lot of us are on partial unemployment;0P

Lord, please grant patience and strength to this couple, patience and strength to endure this difficult time of unemployment. May Eliza’s husband get a job soon and be able to pay all his bills. May this couple focus on your love for them and know that you are in control. May they place all their confidence in your merciful love and be totally surrendered to your merciful love. Thank you, Lord, for hearing my prayer. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women, and blessed
is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners
now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
