Prayers for father

My Dad had surgery last Fri. to remove a section of colon that had cancer in it that had not matastisized (sp). They removed that and several swollen lymph nodes and his gallbladder. The surgery went just fine, but they had a little trouble getting his pain under control.

Last night they moved him out of ICU but this morning he spiked a fever, and started hallucinating. They did some chest xrays and found that he has several blood clots on his lungs.

They have moved him back to ICU. He is really freaked out.
Please keep him in your prayers.

Thanks for your prayers. When I talked with him tonight I told him that I had many people praying for him. It calmed him and gave him a little peace. So thanks a lot for that and please continue to keep him in your prayers. I will update you as I am updated.

Father, we ask you to remove
the infection and blood clots from this man.
Heal him both physically and mentally.
Grant him strength during this time of
illness. Guide his doctors and nurses
to give him the best of treatment.

Saint Jude intercede for him before Jesus, that his health may be restored promptly and his family be strengthened. Amen

I found out last night that 4 of the 7 lymph nodes that they removed and biopsied have stage 3 cancer.

The Doctors have decided that they want to wait until he is a little more healed before they tell him. His recovery isn’t going well, but no one seems to be able to answer the question of why. They finally removed him from ICU, but has pretty much 'round-the-clock nursing care.

He is on blood thinners so they won’t begin radiation but he will be starting chemo as soon as he is mostly physically recovered from the surgery.

Please know that i personally share your pain. I have just gone through a very hard thing with my Father. Please know that GOd is with your Father at this time, and is taking very good care of him. And as the Lords prayer says. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Please keep the faith close to your heart now and know he is in Gods great care. I will continue to pray for you and your family at this terrible time in your life thats GOd love will carry you through.

My Father was placed back in ICU for being septic.(?) I am not sure what that is other than a blood infection? He also has a lot of fluid in his abdomen. The GI is going to drain it tomorrow. His blood pressure is very low and his white count is alarmingly high.
He has been on anti-coagulants and now they are giving him Vitamin K to try to reverse that since that is also a problem, Please continue to pray for us all.

I have 8 school days left before I can close up my classroom and head out to see him. So please pray that he gets better and doesn’t have another decline.
