This week is finals week for me, and I have three big exams coming up in these next few days. I was wondering if you all wouldn’t mind praying that I do well on them, especially in Organic Chemistry I. I’m really nervous for all of my grades. This semester has been my hardest yet and I’ve barely kept up with it all. Please pray that I do well. I’m stressing out that if I don’t get good grades, my dream of becoming a PA won’t happen. 😦

I’m saying prayers that you will do well in your exams and have peace.
May God bless you in all you and guide you in your future plans.

St. Joseph of Cupertino, pray for us. St. Elisabeth Seton, pray for us. Holy Spirit, bringer of wisdom, come to us now in our moment of need! Divine Head of Jesus, seat of wisdom, hear our prayers. Amen.

Prayer Before Finals

Dear Lord:
Let those who are filling the library right now with their bodies and their thoughts
Study hard, but also eventually rest.
Let them realize that success on their exams comes
Not from pulling allnighters
Not from cramming
Not from losing sleep
But as the sweet fruits of a long semester
Of diligence, patience, humility, and sweat
Of losing themselves in the laborious doing
That comes when a long-held dream is finally pursued.
Let them know that their final exams not only measure their knowledge
But also, in the ending of the term, show how faithful You have been to them.
They know more now than they did in August.
They are better students, better stewards, of Your blessing of intellect.
Their thoughts are more like Your thoughts.
And no matter what happens, this cannot be taken away.
In that, let them rest
And in the next coming days, let them learn and be satisfied.
In Your Name: Amen.

Prayer for Test-Takers

Almighty God and Father,
please help us in our examinations.
Help us to face them with courage,
steady in nerves and keen in mind.
Help us to understand
the questions that are asked,
to remember all that we have studied,
and to express our answers accurately.
Lord, grant us success, if success is good for us,
For you know what is best for each one of us.
With loving trust therefore we say,
“Whatever the results, blessed be your holy will.”
We make this prayer in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle. Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may god rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

†

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

†

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Thank you all for your prayers! So far I know that I have two A’s and one A- in three out of my five classes. I’ll find out about another one of them soon hopefully after having taken that class’ final today and tomorrow is my last final. So far things are looking pretty good! Thank you all! Please keep praying that I’ll finish off strong tomorrow!

Another big update: I got an A in Organic Chemistry I! I’m so happy! Thank you Jesus! :D. Just one more exam today and then I’m done until my summer class begins late this month! The end is almost in sight! Thank you all for your prayers! They’re being answered in greater ways than I had imagined!
