I need urgent prayers for this and next week. This week, I need to complete two lab reports for my organic chemistry lab class and an essay for for biology lab class. Next Tuesday Hune 6, I have the ACS organic chemistry final. Finally, I have a 5-6 page essay in Spanish due Friday June 9. In case anyone does not know, I am a low-income, first-generation (parents are immigrants), student at a very elite school. I do not want to give away my location, but, do give you all a sense of how hard it is, it is within the top 20 schools in the US. These schools tend to have a problem of letting in first-generation/low-income students and bragging about the diversity without actually being prepared to help them succeed. Therefore, I have to work twice as hard to get the same grades as a tiger-parented latte sipper, sometimes more because I have a learning disability. The end of the year has left me crushed and, on top of that, my best friend who I was in love with and who loved me cut all contacts and deactivated his social media after leaving me a cryptic message. He is a recovering alcoholic, so, either he relapsed or, worst case scenario, he killed himself. There is no way of me to find out.

My end goal is to become a doctor, so these grades are crucial for me. My aforementioned friend and I have been dreaming of creating a home together in order to help people like him who struggled with addiction, homelessness, etc. once I become a doctor and start making money. Whether he is alive or not, I still want to continue that dream for the both of us.

So, pray for my grades and pray that my friend still lives and will communicate with me again. Thanks.

Ahhh the days of o-chem, they were not pleasant! Remember that in the larger picture, God made you in His image. Which is to say that you are exactly who you are meant to be. Despite the learning disability, anxiety with those close to you, God has your back and wants you to succeed.

That said, shame on schools for promoting diversity simply for the sake of diversity INSTEAD of actually helping students to actually learn and succeed. As for your future, know this: God has put you where you currently need to be===you may not see it yet, but one day, perhaps in this life, perhaps in the next, you will understand.👍

It’s been about five days since my friend either relapsed or killed himself and I can barely continue. He was the reason for me trying so hard and, without him, I have no direction. Keep the prayers coming: I need them.

I’m falling really behind. It certainly does not help that I woke up this morning wanting to vomit. Unfortunately, diarrhea and vomiting profusely is normal at the end of a quarter for me and it certainly does not help me stay on track. Pray that my professors have mercy on me.
