Prayers for Fr. Suganob and 240 Catholics taken hostage a week ago in the Philippines by Islamic militants

I just watched a video of Father Chito Suganob pleading for the president of the Philippines to cease attacks on the Islamic militants who have been trying to battle
government soldiers. These militants also have taken 240 Catholics hostage which are
made up of college students, professors, laborers and women and children.
We need to ask for prayers for the safety and protection of these hostages.
Fr. Suganob was obviously very distressed and frightened. I don’t know how to
post a link to the video. Perhaps someone else can.

Praying that these hostages will soon be released or rescued. Praying for their safety
and protection during their captivity. They were abducted about a week ago.
 
Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

O God, please have mercy on these Your people who are suffering. Grant them a safe return, an end to hostilities, and the conversion of the belligerents. Our Lady, Queen of Peace, pray for them. Amen.

Praying hard for the safety of the hostages held by the Maute Group, who pledges allegiance to the ISIS group and who has planted the ISIS flag in at least one place they have captured.

Praying hard also for the Philippine President in his attempt to stop the Maute Group from being the entry point for ISIS to gain a foothold in the Philippines.

Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless
and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible
look kindly upon us
and increase your mercy in us
that in difficult moments
we might not despair
nor become despondent
but with great confidence
submit ourselves to your holy will
