Prayers for healing - immediate need

My best friend’s husband just fell off a ladder when trimming a tree this evening. Once he fell to the ground, the heavy branch also came down and fell on his head.

Consequently, he broke his pelvis, shoulder, and leg. 😦 He had a CT scan, and they said his head appeared to be ok (Praise God!!). However, he is refusing to see anyone … including my best friend - his wife, and we do not know why 😦 This accident is bad enough, but now with her not being able to see or talk to him, this is just killing her.

He has surgery tomorrow on his pelvis, shoulder, and leg. Any prayers for his physical healing would be GREATLY appreciated!

I’m also reaching out because any prayers for his, and my friend’s spiritual healing would be GREATLY appreciated as well. My friend has been baptized, sacramentalized, and raised Catholic, but she has not discovered her personal relationship with Jesus and has bought into much of what our culture has “taught us about life.” Her husband was raised in a very Evangelical household whose hypocritical ways has turned him away from God on various levels.

I prayed today for his Guardian Angels to watch over and protect him, and also that the Holy Spirit is able to take this suffering and turn it into a beautiful time of surrender for both of them and even their children.

I know there are so many wonderful prayer warriors on this forum! Thank you so much - in advance - for your prayers. Thank you, and I will say a special prayer for all of you this evening as well!!

Prayer for Healing

Lord, look upon this injured man with eyes of mercy. May your healing hand rest upon him, soothing his pain. May your life-giving powers flow into every cell of his body and into the depths of his soul, cleansing, purifying, restoring him to wholeness and strength for service in your Kingdom. Grant strength also to his wife. Through Christ Our Lord, Amen.

Oh my goodness … thank you so much for these prayers! You all are amazing!

A quick update: He finally let her see him last night around 12:30 or so (Eastern Standard Time). I’m heading over to the hospital this morning to be with them for his surgery. I’m getting there around 7, but it looks like the surgery may be at 10.

Prayers for the doctors and nurses during his surgery, and prayers that the Holy Spirit can use me to show them the peace that Christ will bring to them during this time of suffering.

Ironically, they had a trip planned for Europe that they were supposed to leave for in a couple of weeks. Today is the feast day of St. Bridget - Patron Saint of Europe. St. Bridget, pray for them … allow them to mediate on the Passion of Christ so they return home to the Church. Mary, are most Blessed Mother, teach them to pray and lead them to your Son.

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal (MickeyM927best friend’s husband. You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into MickeyM927best friend’s husband’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

Once again … THANK YOU! He just got out of surgery #1 and will have surgery #2 either tomorrow or Monday.

Your prayers are working … and after spending time with my friend at the hospital today, we talked about the blessings God has been working on … and this was her latest facebook post:

“Update on Mark. Surgery went very well. His pelvis was broke in both the back and front on both sides and across the front. They repaired it with a metal plate across the front and has 2 pins in the right and 1 in the left. They were unable to operate on his shoulder because its dislocated and broken in multiple places …so that will be tomorrow or Monday. Likely 2-3 months in a wheelchair followed by rehab. Won’t have use of his arm, so that will slow everything down. Prayers are working.”

Notice the “Prayers are working” comment!! Thank you, everyone!

My prayers for your friend’s healing and his whole family. Hopefully they are doing great by now. Also prayers to Our Heavenly Father in thanksgiving for sending you a Guardian Angel who has kept you. . . . .

His healing is coming along … slowly, but surely! He is also experiencing some pain in his personal life (his brothers and parents) and starting to have his eyes opened to some things he would rather have them closed to. …but we know the Lord is working and will always bring a greater good through all things!
