Lord Jesus Christ, you stilled the waters with Your words. Here is a man who desires to serve You, but his anger & deep distress of heart & mind are preventing him.
Lord, as you stilled the wind and the waves, speak the words of comfort and peace to James White’s heart, soul, & mind, that he may move from bitterness, into a realization of Your love for him, and for all who call upon Your Name. Amen.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray to your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord & Saviour, for James White.
St James the Greater, & St James the Lesser, we call upon your holy intercession of prayers for this man who bears your name.

We ask all these things in the Strong Name of Jesus Christ,

today is the Feast day of

St Bartholomew

In the New Testament, Bartholomew is mentioned only in the lists of the apostles. Some scholars identify him with Nathanael, a man of Cana in Galilee who was summoned to Jesus by Philip. Jesus paid him a great compliment: “Here is a true Israelite. There is no duplicity in him” (John 1:47b). When Nathanael asked how Jesus knew him, Jesus said, “I saw you under the fig tree” (John 1:48b).

Whatever amazing revelation this involved, it brought Nathanael to exclaim, “Rabbi, you are the Son of God; you are the King of Israel” (John 1:49b). But Jesus countered with, “Do you believe because I told you that I saw you under the fig tree? You will see greater things than this” (John 1:50b).

Nathanael did see greater things. He was one of those to whom Jesus appeared on the shore of the Sea of Tiberias after his resurrection (see John 21:1-14).

Heavenly Father,
grant that we may be in our spirits
also under the fig tree; we ask this particularly for our brother James.

Sacred Heart of Jesus have Mercy on us.
Immaculate Heart of Mary pray for us.
St Bartholomew pray for us.

Lord, I am unhappy with the behaviour of several anti-Catholics today, including our brother James. You know who the others are. I lift them all up to You and I ask for the Grace to forgo my anger. I am at the end of myself and can come up with nothing more to defend the Church without your specific clear guidance.

I pray for that guidance, Lord. And I pray that Catholic Answers can raise enough funds to keep on going. And I pray that you hold up all the patient, charitable, hard-working defenders of the faith who post on here every day.

To God be all the glory.

Lord Jesus, make known the glory of your Truth, as manifested by you here on earth, and entrusted to Your Church, to James White, as he journeys with us, and faces the wiles of the evil one with us. Protect us from evil, lies, and dissention.

Recent events have moved me to get this thread going again. Anyone who could throw out a prayer for all virtue, humility, charity, and truth to overshadow James White, and all the rest of us too, is much appreciated.

Dear Lord, James White is a very lost and mistaken man. May the Holy Spirit change his heart.
 
Dear Lord, please give wisdom and peace to James White, wisdom including knowledge of the Eucharist, the role of Mary and wisdom so that he will not mislead the people.
