If anyone can spare a prayer for this young man battling ice addiction it would be wonderful. If he can stay clean for 2 weeks he will be accepted into a rehabilitation clinic. Thank you Qaz

Matt Talbot Prayer for Addiction
God of mercy, we bless you in the name of your Son, Jesus Christ, who ministers to all who come to Him. Give Your strength to James, who is bound by the chains of addiction. Enfold him in your love and restore him to freedom through your grace.
Lord, look with compassion on all those who have lost their health and have broken relationships because of addiction to meth. Restore to them the assurance of your unfailing mercy, and strengthen them to the work of recovery. To those who care for them, grant patient understanding and a love that perseveres.
Lord, in your servant, the Venerable Matt Talbot, you have given us a wonderful example of triumph over addiction, of devotion to duty, and of lifelong reverence to the Holy Sacrament. May his life of prayer and penance give James courage to take up his cross and stay clean from meth for two weeks so that he can enter a treatment program. Father, we ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
St. Jude Prayer for Addiction
God of life, You made James in Your perfect image, to live in Your love and to give You glory, honor, and praise. Open James’ heart to Your healing power. Come, Lord Jesus, calm James’ soul just as you whispered “Peace” to the stormy sea. St. Jude, most holy Apostle, in James’ need we reach out to you. I beg you to intercede for him so that he can stay clean from ice for two weeks – so that he can enter treatment. Bless all those who struggle with all addictions. Touch them, heal them, and reassure them of the Father’s constant love. Remain at James’ side, St. Jude, to chase away all evil temptations, fears, and doubts. May the quiet assurance of your loving presence illuminate the darkness in James’ heart and bring lasting peace. Through Christ Our Lord, amen.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.
Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

For Help in Trials
Most holy apostle St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the name of the traitor who delivered your beloved Master into the hands of His enemies has caused you to be forgotten by many. But the Church honors and invokes you universally as the patron of hopeless cases–of things despaired of. Pray for me who feels so hopeless. Make use, I implore you, of that particular privilege accorded to you of bringing visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great need, that I may receive the consolations and succor of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations and sufferings, in particular James, and that I may bless God with you and all the elect throughout eternity. I promise you, O Blessed St. Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favor, and I will never cease to honor you as my special and powerful patron, and to do all in my power to encourage devotion to you. Amen.
Amen.

Lord Jesus, you said:
“I have come to set the captives free”.
James is captive and needs your healing touch.
Free him, Lord, from his addiction, so
that he will be:
Free from the cares and worries that stifle
his happiness;
Free from sins that cling to him, and to
which he clings;
Free from all compulsive behavior that prevents
him from becoming what you, Lord, have
planned for him;
Bring him loving Savior, to the experience
of abundant life which you promised.
I ask this through your name, Lord, Jesus,
Amen

Prayer for the Release of a Loved One from Alcohol or Drug Addiction Through the Divine Mercy and Blood of Jesus
Lord Jesus, I put myself into Your hands this day. I ask You, with all my heart, to cure the terrible addiction to drugs in James. Create in them an intolerance for drugs that will prevent them ever offending those who love them again. And grant their loved ones the grace to forgive them for all the hurt they have caused. Through the Divine Mercy and blood of Jesus, I also pray that they will be healed of all withdrawal symptoms of this terrible affliction. I sincerely ask this, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

**Blessed Saint Raphael, Archangel,
We beseech you to help us in all our needs
and trials of this life,
as you, through the power of God,
didst restore sight and gave guidance to young Tobit.
We humbly seek your aid and intercession,
that our souls may be healed,
our bodies protected from all ills,
and that through divine grace we may become fit
to dwell in the eternal Glory of God in heaven.
