I just found out that Laura Ingraham was diagnosed on Friday afternoon with Breast Cancer. She is having an operation today.
I did not listen to her show yesterday but did today. Congressman J.D. Hayworth filled in today. Please keep her in your prayers:gopray2:

…may The Love Of God, The Fellowship Of His Son Jesus Christ, And The Strength Of The Holy Ghost Be With Her Now And Forever…

I’ll join you in this prayer to St. Agatha for Laura. I just love her show when I can hear it. She is a good Catholic voice on secular radio.

I am very sad to hear this. Ms. Ingraham’s conversion to Catholicism was an inspiration for me when I made the decision to convert.

Saint Agatha, patron of those with breast cancer, please pray for Laura Ingraham!

I just got her e-blast e-mail yesterday! Seeing this news on this forum shocked me! I last listened when she did her sound bite contest, always fun, a week or two ago. I always feel out of the loop when I miss her show and I love how she incorporates Catholic guests into the discussion. God bless her.

PRAYER REQUEST FOR LAURA: You know I hate Drama Kings or Queens, but I am asking for your prayers today and for the forseeable future. On Friday afternoon, I learned that I have joined the ever-growing group of American women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer. As so many breast cancer patients will tell you, it all came as a total shock. I am blessed to be surrounded by people who love me–my family, a wonderful fiance (if he thinks he’s going to get out of marrying me because of this little blib, he’s sadly mistaken!), my friends, and my church. I am absolutely blown away by how helpful and kind everyone has been–including total strangers who have experienced the same rollercoaster of emotions. The sisterhood of breast cancer survivors is inspiring. I am truly blessed. On Tuesday I will have an operation and within a few days will know more about the future. I am hopeful for a bright future and a “normal” life (well, scratch the “normal” part). Anyway, people have gone through much worse, and I know I’ll obliterate this. I am thanking you in advance for your prayers. You are my family. And remember, I’ll be back sooner than you think.

Wow I just heard this morning. I am joining all of you in prayer for her quick recovery. I am listening to her show as we speak and certainly missing her wit and wisdom. I sent an email from the LI website letting her know she’s remembered in many prayers. They will probably be innundated but that’s what you get when people care about you

aimee you can stream from her website now. It’s a small fee though. But I thought it was worthwhile because her shows are archived and I can listen to them whenever I have the time.

OH NOOOOOOO!!! 😦
She is one of the only heroes I have left in the media! I hope and pray that she will be ok.

What is worrisome is the RAPID scheduling of surgery and Laura’s comment that the doctor called it an ‘angry’ tumor. That it is small is a blessing and she is definitely regretting her inattention to her own health. Ladies this can happen to ANYONE. I do not know Laura’s age but I am assuming 30s or 40s? She is young for this disease. I am hoping and praying for a good result.

Isn’t it odd, that many of us have become “friends” with talkshow hosts, not in knowing them personally, but through the medium of radio…we’ve come to “know” them throught the airwaves, “know” their story and their humanity, much more than some hollywood celebrity. We have DAILY “conversations” with them. We laugh together, we get outraged together, we learn together, and when something like this happens…we pray together.

IT was a wierd feeling to see the report that Laura has cancer and have such a sadness and “connection” to her, as if I was one of her good “real” friends.

My prayers are with you Laura, and your close “friends” like us await your return to the airwaves.

I have never heard her show, but I have heard so many good things about her, I wish I had. I will definately pray for her. :gopray:

I just discovered Laura a few months ago as her show now broadcasts in the Chicago area. I heard her from her hospital bed this morning. I will keep her in my prayers. I do love her show. She is funny, conservative, and very Catholic and unafraid to mention it on the air just about every day.

I just heard Laura on Sean Hannity’s show. She sounds good (all things considering). She could not emphasize enough to tell women to take care of themselves, especially taking the time to do a monthly breast exam.

My step mother is a breast cancer survivor as well as a friend of mine. It is affecting more and more women each day.

God bless Laura and other women who are going through this…

For those of you who haven’t seen Laura, here’s a photo of her at a concert for Marines at Fort Pendleton a couple of weeks ago. May God bless her and pull her through this.

Yes!
And thanks Luciana for the heads up. I haven’t listen to her show for a few days and missed the news.

I also hadn’t been to her website recently so I didn’t know about all the new gadgets for listening that I’m going to try. I miss her show mainly because either I need to keep my phone line open or I’m working.

Power to the People and Prayers for Laura!!

I will keep her in my prayers…I have always admired her…she is brilliant.
