Prayers for Lay-Offs

Please pray for 50-some employees of our company who are being laid off this week - some at this office, some in other states. One of them is a young married man (30-something) who is going to school to become an anesthesiologist (SP). His wife is an OR nurse and they are expecting their 3rd (under 5) this spring. He has 2 yrs left in school.

Another young man who worked in maintenance (he and his wife both 25 - she works) is expecting his first child w/ his wife in the coming months as well.

Please pray for these young families. Thanks be to God that DH and I both still have our jobs and are able to provide for our family.

Father, in Jesus name please have mercy on the needs of these families.

Jesus please encourage an improvement in the economy so that unemployment issues and financial difficulties ease.
Please help the unemployed to find work.
Have mercy Jesus in these serious issues for lives and relationships

Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless,
and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible,
look kindly upon us, and increase Your mercy in us,
that in difficult moments we might not despair, nor become despondent, but with great confidence submit ourselves to Your holy will, which is love and mercy itself, Amen.
