Prayers for Loneliness

Please pray for those who are lonely. I myself have felt lonely lately, but through my loneliness I have grown closer to God. I ask that you pray for people like me who feel alone that they will look to God for strength and love. :console:
 
I will bring these prayers to the Lord in my rosary this morning.

May God provide you with strong catholic friends.

Lord, be with those that feel so alone. Help them sense Your presence and grow in faith. In the precious name of Jesus we pray. Amen.

May He allow us to form bonds with those who walk uprightly before Him.

May we never be alone. May we always be mindful of Emmanuel. God with us.

Thank You kind Savior for Your grace and mercy. Thank You for Your faithfulness. Thank You for the Holy Spirit and reconcilation with our Heavenly Father. Thank You for our Blessed Mother Mary, our gaurdian angels and all of the saints.

Thank You for new friendships in Christ Jesus. Amen***

For Special Intentions
Almighty and loving Father, I thank you for giving St. Gerard to us as a most appealing model and powerful friend. By his example, he showed us how to love and trust you. You have showered many blessings on those who call upon him. For your greater glory and JA25’s welfare, please grant me the favors which I ask in his name.

(For JA25 and all who are lonely we pray they are comforted by God’s love for them)

And you, my powerful patron, intercede for this family before the throne of God. Draw near to that throne and do not leave it until you have been heard. O good saint, to you I address my feverent prayers; graciously accept them and let JA25 experience in some way the effects of your powerful intercession. Amen.
 
Jesus, Scripture tells us, “It is not good that man should be alone.” [Genesis 2:8] Yet loneliness affects many people even in company because they feel unable to trust in their value to others. They often feel rejected and unloved, and have little self-esteem.

Jesus, we humans hope for companionship that is reciprocal and happy, with love that affirms our individuality and value. We seek in others the gift of ourselves forgiven and accepted in all our faults. We also secretly desire others’ recognition of our hidden beauty. We cannot receive such a gift unless we can also give to others the gift of themselves accepted by love that is aware, not blind.

Express Your love in our relationships as we seek to live in gospel community, not as isolated individuals. For only where individuals and communities are willing to love and to minister to others, do we find in each other the nourishing power of Christ’s presence.

Therefore, let the lonely and hurt understand their need to welcome others in charity in however small or great means open to them, rather than to remain trapped in isolation or self-pity. However if they remain isolated, we offer You their pain, united with the atoning loneliness of Your own earthly exile, in reparation for all sins against compassion, against friendship, justice and unity.

Jesus let us gently bring Your love to the lonely, to all persons who hunger for love and companionship. “God gives the lonely a permanent home.” [Psalm 68:6]
 
Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

**I feel lonely very often because of my life situation which I will go
into in a later post. I have found CAF helps me a lot. I pray for
people and offer up my loneliness in my prayers for them; this
way I am putting my loneliness to good and higher things rather
than letting it depress me.

I have been there before. I will pray for your loneliness and all those who suffer from it.

I’ve been there many times before, but making more time during the day to spend time with God in prayer has helped to ease the sting of loneliness.

Jesus,
be with those that are lonely
comfort and console us
help us to understand
that we are never truly alone
because we have you,
as a Savior, Brother, and Friend.

Watch, dear Lord, with those who wake or watch or weep tonight, and give your angels charge over those who sleep. Tend your sick ones, O Lord Jesus Christ, rest your weary ones, bless your dying onces, soothe your suffering once, shield you joyous ones, and all for your love’s sake.
