I just came back from a vacation with a group, and I met new people, including a lady who asked about my status. She’s friendly and extroverted, and likes matchmaking. It was she who reached out and brought up the topic. Anyway, I think she knows some people who could introduce me to other young men.

I’ve tried a lot of things when it comes to finding a potential boyfriend or husband - events, activities, online dating and apps, etc. I do accept whatever God has in store for me, and if He doesn’t want me to get married, so be it. I even prayed for God to remove my desire for marriage if He wants to. But you know how this things work, then you receive messages when you’re so tired of all this dating and trying to meet and get to know people routine.

So maybe I shouldn’t stop just yet. I’ve been praying for along time as well. As I recall, most of those who expressed interest in me were guys I wasn’t interested in. There was a guy I met online who contacted me, but the conversation stopped; I would’ve wanted to get to know him better.

I hope to meet a man who would be a good husband and father, someone I like, and someone who also likes me. I also hope that he’s a practicing Catholic at the minimum. But even if he’s not Catholic, oh well. It’s so hard to find someone this days. On Catholic dating sites, I’ve reached out to men I’m interested in, but they don’t respond or respond but don’t view my profile and show interest. It’s on secular dating sites that I’ve received contact or interest. I’ve just about done everything, I don’t know what else to do.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

For Help in Trials

Most holy apostle St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the name of the traitor who delivered your beloved Master into the hands of His enemies has caused you to be forgotten by many. But the Church honors and invokes you universally as the patron of hopeless cases–of things despaired of. Pray for me who feels so hopeless. Make use, I implore you, of that particular privilege accorded to you of bringing visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great need, that I may receive the consolations and succor of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations and sufferings, in particular (fin), and that I may bless God with you and all the elect throughout eternity. I promise you, O Blessed St. Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favor, and I will never cease to honor you as my special and powerful patron, and to do all in my power to encourage devotion to you. Amen.

Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless, and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible,
look kindly upon us, and increase your mercy in us,
that in difficult moments, we might not despair nor become despondent,
but with great confidence, submit ourselves to your holy will,
which is Love and Mercy itself.
Amen.

Hodel,
Matchmaker, Matchmaker,
Make me a match,
Find me a find,
catch me a catch
Matchmaker, Matchmaker
Look through your book,
And make me a perfect match
Chava:
Matchmaker, Matchmaker,
I’ll bring the veil,
You bring the groom,
Slender and pale.
Bring me a ring for I’m longing to be,
The envy of all I see.

I’ll pray that God will answer your prayers for your soul mate.

Maybe you do this already or maybe not! I would suggest praying/dialoguing with God tell God specifically what you want.

Ex a good, holy, catholic gentleman. Someone who loves kids, and generous to a fault, someone with a good stable job who will appreciate me. Someone who enjoys biking, tennis, and swimming, etc.

I pray w/ the rest for your intention.

Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God of
Hosts. Heaven and earth are full
of Your glory. Hosanna in the highest,
blessed is He who comes in the
Name of the Lord. Hosanna in the
highest!!
Amen.

I’ll pray for you.

But I’ll say as well that sometimes lightning strikes. My own son was extremely frustrated about this very thing. Good looking guy, a professional, pleasing personality. Had a lot of dates and fleeting relationships, but he just never found “Miss right”.

Then he was invited to a St. Patrick’s Day party halfway across the U.S. by some of his former school friends. They were in the “Irish Lawyers’ Club” in law school, so St. Patrick’s Day was a big deal for them. So my son went.

It happened a young lady from a few states away was invited to it by one of her friends who married one of my son’s classmates. She almost didn’t go. But she and my son met at the party, hit it off immediately, and now they’re married and have children. I do remember the young lady saying she had been praying to St. Joseph for help in finding a suitable spouse. At the party, she casually asked my son what his middle name is. “Joseph”, he truthfully replied. The lady almost fainted when she heard that and felt that her prayers had been answered. And sure enough, they were.

Remember, O glorious and Good Saint Anne, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored they help and sought thy intercession, was left unaided.

Inspired by this confidence, behold, I cast myself at they feet, and beseech thee, by thy great prerogative of being the Mother of the Queen of Heaven and the Grandmother of Jesus, come to my aid with thy powerful intercession, and obtain from Almighty God through the ever Blessed Virgin Mary, this special favor which I beg of thee…

Cease not to intercede for me until, through Divine Mercy, my request may be granted. Above all, obtain for me the grace one day to behold my God face to face and with thee and Mary and all the Saints praise and bless Him through all eternity. Amen.

Praying. . . . Prayer of Apology and Thanksgiving because of forgetfulness to say “thank You” to Our Lord for all the blessings He pours on us and we do not even realize it. 😉 🙂

Act of Hope and Confidence in God

St. Claude de la Colombiere
:signofcross:
My God,
I believe most firmly that You watch over all who hope in You,
and that we can want for nothing when we rely upon You in all things.
Therefore I am resolved for the future…to cast all my cares upon You.
People may deprive me of worldly goods and status.
Sickness may take from me my strength and the means of serving You.
I may even jeopardize our relationship by sin, but my trust shall never leave me.
I will preserve it to the last moment of my life, and the powers of hell shall seek
…… in vain to grab it from me.
Let others seek happiness in their wealth and in their talents.
Let them trust in the purity of their lives,
the severity of their mortifications,
in the number of their good works,
the enthusiasm of their prayers,
as for me, my Rock and my Refuge, my confidence in you fills me with hope.
For You, my Divine Protector, alone have settled me in hope.
“This confidence can never be vain. No one, who has hoped in God, has
…… ever been confounded.”
I am assured, therefore, of my eternal happiness,
…… for I firmly hope in it and all my hope is in You.
“In You, O loving God, have I hoped: let me never be confounded.”
I know too well that I am weak and changeable. I know the power of
…… temptation against the strongest virtue.
I have seen stars fall and foundations of my world crack;
…… these things do not alarm me.
While I hope in You, I am sheltered from all misfortune,
…… and I am sure that my trust shall endure,
…… for I rely upon You to sustain this unfailing hope.
Finally, I know that my confidence cannot exceed Your generosity, and that I
…… shall never receive less than I have hoped for from You.
Therefore I hope that You will sustain me against my evil inclinations,
…… that You will protect me against the deceitful attacks of the evil one,
…… and that You will cause my weakness to triumph over every hostile force.
I hope that You will never cease to love me and that I shall love You unceasingly.
“In You, O loving God, have I hoped: let me never be confounded.”

St Claude de la Colombiere, pray for us!

Apology and Thanksgiving Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Creator of all and source of all goodness and love,
please look kindly upon us,
as we ask for forgiveness for not giving You thanks.
Please receive our heartfelt apology for the lack of gratitude.
Remind us at all times that You are always worthy of our thanks.

Thank You, Heavenly Father,
for all the graces and blessings
You have bestowed upon us:
our faith and religious heritage;
the Priests who bring us the Sacraments;
our life, food and shelter;
our health, the love we have for one another;
our Police Officers and Firefighters who keep us safe;
our Soldiers and Veterans who fight and fought for our Country;
our family and friends.
Thank You for the people You so generously send us;
…everything You grant us
…and of which we are not even aware.
Dear Father, in Your infinite generosity, please grant us the grace of having
…less “give me” and more gratitude throughout the coming
…years so that we may be aware that anything from You is good
…for You turn the “bad” into blessings for us.
Please Lord, grant us the grace of not forgetting that we can thank You
…over and over again for the same gift – and if we
…forget, may our Guardian Angel remind us.
Thank You, Lord.
I Love You, Lord.
Amen… …by Luz María

Hail Mary,
full of grace,
the Lord is with Thee,
blessed are Thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of Thy womb,
Jesus.

Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.
:signofcross:

**Let Nothing Disturb You
Let nothing disturb you,
Let nothing frighten you,
All things are passing away:
God never changes.

Patience,
Obtains all things,
Whoever has God
Lacks nothing:
God alone suffices.
