Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless, and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible,
look kindly upon us, and increase your mercy in us,
that in difficult moments, we might not despair nor become despondent,
but with great confidence, submit ourselves to your holy will,

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Something odd happened. On our way back home from our trip, my friend from high school asked me if I was dating. So I told him about my experiences with online dating and others and how it’s hard, and the guys I’m communicating with. He told me that someone wanted to introduce a girl to him, so we talked about that. He asked me if I was ready for a relationship, and I said yes. I was so surprised when he asked me if the two of us could try it out. I didn’t give a definite answer, but instead an awkward chuckle and laugh, and he said, you don’t want to. I immediately talked about how it’s easier to date someone you’re always communicating with and changing the subject. Anyhow, I have no interest in him romantically, never had. It was strange.
